Class Officers Left to right: Richard Arbogast, Vice President; Carolyn Yeaman, Secretary-Treasurer; Gene Price, Class Representative; Melvin Nelson, President. Class History On September 10, 1954, we entered Point Arena High School as Freshmen. At our first class meeting we elected our class officers. They were: President, Jim Ellingson; Vice President, Cheryl Acquistapace; Secretary-Treasurer, Ruth Petersen; Reporter, Ted Calmes: and Advisor, Mr. Watson. To earn money during the year we sold pens (with Point Arena Football cham- pions of 1954 inscribed on them). Carolyn Yeaman and Jim Ellingson made the Honor Roll throughout the year. In our first Sophomore class meeting we elected the following officers: President, Carolyn Yeaman; Vice President, Byron Opperman; Secretary, Cheryl Acquistapace; Treasurer, Jim Ellingson, and Advisor, Mr. Wightman. At the first of the year we held the Annual Freshman Reception and Initiation and to raise money we sold class emblems. Our Junior class officers were: President, Cheryl Acquistapace; Vice President, Carolyn Yeaman; Secretary-Treasurer. Pat Bishop; Reporter, Byron Opperman; and Advisor, Miss Blach. In the middle of the year Pat Bishop left us and Ruth Petersen was elected Secretary-Treasurer. To raise money this year we had the concession booth at the football games: we also had a food sale and showed movies to raise money for our Junior-Senior Prom. We started back to school this year as the “Mighty Seniors”. At our first class meeting we elected the following officers: President. Mel Nelson; Vice President. Rie Arborgast; Secretary-Treasurer, Carolyn Yeaman; Reporter, Ruth Petersen; Class Representative, Gene Price; Advisor, Mr. Snow. So far this year our money-raising activities have been a food sale, selling auto- graph books, and participating in the F.F.A. Sweetheart Contest. After four years of high school we are now looking forward to Graduation!
