The class of '56 entered high school on September 10, 1952. We consisted of Linda Beebe, David Tock, Patsy Titus, Bill Reifers, Rose Giacomini, Donald Caughey, Carol Ohleyer, Thomas Pike, Barbara Remstedt, Charles Cabassi, Dorothy Fiscus, Ernest Mason, Jackie Duncan, Mike Key, Carol Black, John Ciolina, Vesta McMillen, Joe Smith, Judy Parnett, Leonard McMillen, Virginia Rue, and Dian Laiwa. The very first thing we took part in was Freshman Initiation. Later on in the year we gave a Halloween Dance. Class officers for the first year were: President, Judy Parnett; Vice-President, Joe Smith; Sec- retary-Treasurer, Pat Titus; and Reporter, Linda Bebee. Miss Fluke was our advisor. Our class was active in sports and band and glee. During our Sophomore year, Linda Beebe, Virginia Rue, Bill Reifers, Dian Laiwa and Patsy Titus moved away. Shirley McGarvin, Pat Miller and Bob Wolstemholm entered our class. Miss Murray was our advisor and our officers were: President, John Ciolina; Vice-President, Rose Giacomini; Secretary-Treasurer, Carol Ohleyer; and Reporter, Barbara Remstedt. This year we got to initiate the Freshmen. We had a Freshman Reception and showed the movie Arsenic and Old Lace. We sold refreshments and gave a few dances throughout the year. On September 13, 1954, we began our first year as upper classmen. Marvin Wightman, Trudy Lam- bert, Shelton Hayman, Paul Korver and Jim Childers joined our class. Carol Black moved to San Francisco. Mrs. Ashurst was our advisor and the officers were: President, Charles Cabassi; Vice-President, Marvin Wightman; Secretary-Treasurer, Carol Ohleyer; Reporter, Pat Miller; and Class Representative, Judy Parnett. In October we received our class rings. We combined forces with the Seniors and produced Where's Laurie? Throughout the year we sold concessions at the athletic games and had candy and food sales to raise money for the Junior-Senior Prom. At the end of our Junior Year, Marvin Wightman, Paul Korver, David Tock, and Jim Childers moved away. Jim joined the Air Force. Barbara Remstedt, Pat Miller, Trudy Lambert, and Jackie Duncan got married and left school. Later on in our Senior year, Shel- ton Hayman moved away. Darlene Cushman, April Rogers, Leon Crenshaw, and Hazel Griffith joined us. Our advisor was Mr. Snow and our officers were: President, Joe Smith; Vice-President, Rose Giacomini; Secretary-Treasurer, Hazel Griffith; Class Representative, Carol Ohleyer. During our last year in high school we gave one or two dances, had candy sales and sold novelties. We joined forces with the Juniors and put on the three-act play Bolts and Nuts. We have been active in school activities throughout our high school years and on June 14, we fulfilled our four years of schooling when we received our diplomas.
