We feel that this year has been a successful one for our class. We entered school this year no longer scared Freshmen. Our first activity was the Freshman Reception which turned out to be quite a success. We then tried our hand at candy sales and after-game dances, all of which helped to mount our savings which we have hopes to use, among other things, for a pleasure trip sometime in the future. Later in the year we put on a car wash which was a lot of work but still fun. We are proud of those of us who have met the requirements for membership in the C.S.F., namely: Myrna Roskam, Tamara Cossi, and Carolyn York. We are looking forward to our first year as upperclassmen next year. The first day of school we had an assembly to choose advisors for the classes. Mr. Weymouth, a new teacher, was chosen as our advisor and he has done a good job. It wasn't long before we elected our class officers. They are: President, Chuck York; Vice- President, Ronny McMillen; Secretary-Treasurer, Ann Stornetta; and Representative, Bruno Fis- tolera. Other classes had re-elections in the second semester, but we didn't think it was necessary. This has been a prosperous year, with activities and good scholastic achievement. They entered in Regional Public Speaking and Parlia- mentary Procedure contests. This year, as in the past, they took part in the judging contests at Davis and Cal Poly. Their projects have included a fish and rifle derby, a Junior Logging Con- ference, Parent and Son Banquet, and many field trips. The FFA became a member of the Farm bureau this year. On the Campus, the Future Farmers have started gopher control, planted trees, and learned farming techniques. Mr. Woodward has many plans and activities for the FFA next year, and we hope the Future Farmers of America will continue their good work.
