The speaker of the house is elected by the student body for each full year and is the presiding officer. The main func- tions ofthe house are to propose bills and to vote on bills passed by the senate. Mike Sawaya,Chief Justice 'F fl i R 2, S3 Qi E The School Court is the judicial branch of the school government. lts membership con- sists of a chief justice, five senior justices, four junior justices, and a clerk. The justices are all appointed by a faculty recommendation with the exception of the chief justice who is elected by the student body. The main func- tions of the court are deciding constitution- ality of laws and acts of student government, revising parts of the school constitution, and prosecuting violators of school law.
