Barbara Choffe, Joan Sorenson Mrs. lzetta Robertson The Chieftain has been published more frequently this year, one issue reaching the students every three weeks, a great change from the monthly issues of latter years. The editors and staff members have been turning out a better paper than ever before, striving with each issue to improve. This work of the students is shown as the Chieftain again won first rating in Columbia Scholastic Press Association's yearly school paper contest. For the reason that our school paper goes to each stu- dent ond into each home, the staff has tried to give o true impression of the school in all aspects--the serious and carefree, the busy and happy. Under the direction of the journalism adviser, Mrs. lzet- ta Robertson, o new plon was tried whereby two editors were appointed, one to serve each semester. Claire Mc- Quillan served as editor first semester and Joan Getty, second. Credit should be given to two students who've taken four semesters of journalism-Claudine Morris and Richard Hronek. The former has served os advertising manager for three semesters, the latter, as sports editor for three semesters, also.
