They have made a splendid start with Jim Anderson, Pauline Bistline. Mary Cox, Merle Isham and Wesley Merrill as leaders, and the rocky road will drop behind as they mount toward their goals. Much of the school's talent has been found among the Sophomores, and the class of thirty-seven has much to look forward to. Miss Nissen has been their capable adviser. l42l 'Xf- Pa 7 ...ir I' f-4'-.932 . , 1 Y-. 2,f1 ' I 'I ' -V --Q ff-1 W I 4: ti min gg' lv ,Ii 1 I 5.1 5 KOMO 'Iii Bottom Row left to rrght Georgra Thor sud I lt rn o r Yhomrs Roma Howell Emma lhomrs Lrlttn XY right ltone lNtal Norma Egtn Htl n llarn s Hnldr Gnen Mane Holt Second Ron Nladelrne Rowland Ivclym Jtnsmn Ruth llrtersun Eleanor Rollurd 'lhelma Smnth Mrrxon Mtrlty El-.nt Pederson llhyllts Nelson Roma Jtan Her-drrcln 'Vlrdelrne 'Vlullln Dexona W-rrdle Thnrd Ron Uorolhy Hall Dons Vlnrng A'mx lurntr Xlrldrtd Hancock Normr Southwood lay humble Nmltt Osttrmrller O1.ella Cronenberger Ioyer Drcxstn lrene Bourne l'ourth Row Ona - A Tye., if fi R my .U-' Z' rttom Row rhar nlten Duns rrret 'ubert 3 r XKrng.tr XX mdr latrmer rmr urnn rnortn truthumv litulrh l nreldx 'lwrlx Putmrn lztta Jonts 'Nlrrv lou Hough Altec loxtrn Dorothy Arnold iecond ow R xettr Curt n Bt h Sowen een l holt Dons Alred Alree May Roprs June XVat son Faye Smith Sara Patterson Vlrlflred Ptttrce Third Row Vlolet Mmrxem lu mm Cuttler Lor rnnt Qtlbtrt Gtrm mt rn on lv rs t rm l rlnu ton Dorothy Nelson 'Nlmrgrrtt Burrell lourth Row Neola Brothers Florence XX ad I-thel Hess 'Vltr ont Lhester Flortnte Allen Ruth Jtnsen lonr Cop Qrmn lxanomatr V e tl 1 Qatterfreld Irv V ltntrnt llrrbrrm llrldwxn Dons S row tr left 'loo lul-r Drnlels lyle Weeks lxze Fuye Hubbtrd Anntbelle Grly Lots Ostrmder Rlght Top Mary Paunktr Nt nm Owns Dorothy Cltrk i Ntlxon Dora Plper Elsu Spahr Elsie Peterson Xhlmr Rudren Alice ilunner Dorothy Meloy N onr a Jun Oluur Amta Tolmre L Verne llttox Betty Munson Betty DOWDIDQ Elberta Hutthrnson Glrdys Mosby Betty Morell Lett lup Mrldrtd NX adn 'Vlre Nussbaum Thcda Mc turdx Jun Rupp Rlbht Top Mary Cox Claud rm Brllyntlne Ha7el Frye Hadley Larelle Hayes ul' 44 or -1 ln Bortom Row left to nght Howard Carlyle R1th1rdl'rvrcr Nl-rx Hall Homer Woodard Les lu Xkrlxon Farnest Grrard 'Bull Dolbeer Bud 'Nlorqrn 'Vlerle Isham Joe Fellxs Ralph Clark Howard Knowles Heber llsworth Second Row NX oon N.Vzyne RohertCurt1s Mclvrn Dunn Ver non lapncr George Wood Harold Wrrght Har wld llansen Gactmo Granchettr Rav Nelson Du W-ryne XVeaver Kenneth Johnson Milt Dalpmo llnrd Row Tom Youngren Joe Allee Srlvan Dmlplno Jrm Anderson Claxre Andrews Bob Bell loc Fo d Dougl s Snahr Wesley M1tthews Frwnk Baldwin Charles Carlson Vance Chandler Fltment Klcyes Fdwtrd Roberts Bull Rlchm-rn 91m Iheros Ernne 'Vleyers Fourth Row Farl Hall len Peas Brll Lamar Rlchard McPherson Irxrn Hopkins Herbert Nrpper Fifth Row fhnlts Smrth Byron Cosgrove Fruncxs Baldwm Gordon R15 mond Fred Bunce Fred Brown Ted Buldwm Earl Peterson Dm Western Albert Drs ther lovrph Stuart Rex Richardson Sxxth Row Rrtlnrd llockmg Ned Hubbard Bob Rfder XVI' ford Crreen Jack Ranrhll Bob Ray Gerald lr-nklns ' '-Alf ' ' A -4 ' wr ' . In the earlier part of the season we suffered a couple of set back. but came through to win six out of eight games played, piling up a total of 130 points to our opponents 31. To begin with, the boys beat Aberdeen 19-0. trounced Rupert 37-0, then went into a slump and lost two straight, one to Blackfoot 6-12 and one to Twin Falls 0-6, both close hard-fought games. It was a very clever comedy of an old English family, with Anne Mea- dows acting the part of the old maid sister who was forced to wear green stockings at her younger sisters' marriages. S h e grows very tired of it and invents a love of her own who is said to be a Colonel in the detachment which had sailed for Africa the day before. The family insists that she Write him and her sister insistently mails the letters. There turns out to be a real Colonel with such a name and he comes to visit her in disguise as a friend of the supposedly dead colonel- portrayed by lnllsvxorth Carlson The play ends cleverely with the Colonel and Celia falling in love It vms verv ably directed by Miss Harriet Hayes and xx as en toyed immensely by those at tending l:xcry0ne commented on the lowly costuming scenery lighting and stage grouping The cast Celia Faraday Colonel J Smith Aunt Ida Mr Faraday Admiral Tarvzr Phyllis Faraday Henry Raleigh Madge Faraday Steele Butler Alternates for Phyllis Alternate for I welyn Anne Meadow: Fllsworth Carlson Viola Henderson Bill Bentley Charles Griggs Kenneth Berry athryn Finlayson Fred Haight Ruthella Wade Ed Crane Richard Mullen Zelphi Bennett Mary Valentine Cleone Larson Y . . . .
