For the seniors all the seeds are sown. All the molding is complete. These young men and women are being asked to take their places in society. The hours of study, tests, projects, coaching, playing, cheering, worrying, caring, and relaxing yield the class of 1988. Friendships, love affairs, heartbreaks, and uncountable memories have been formed and reformed. Only time will tell if each is prepared, but it is certain each has their own individual goals. Dreams of wealth and power; of love and marriage; of doctors, lawyers, laborers, teachers, business ventures, military ranks ... These are the dreams of our seniors. Dreams to be reached by the same hard work that has pushed them to this magic moment. It is time for our seniors to reap. To reap all they have sown at P.H.S. and to venture forth with a touch of class. rTj7 OQenNO™M VY “ a Ot DO = 0 0 | Michele Lea Ee : Cheerleader, BETA, FBLA, Model U.N., Computer Club, Gov- _ ernor’s School for the Gifted | Donna Renae Dawson: — Cheerleader, BETA, FBLA, Basketball, Softball, Annual Staff, Computer Club CQA— rTj70 Ae nO mV —“On7ncwnao=a 4 Sheila Neel Breeden: Kimberly Renae Jen- BETA, Computer nings: FBLA, Com- Club, Model U.N., puter Club, Annual Flag Team Staff, Paper Staff, | Softball, SCA Repre- sentative, Flag Team Spies! her Todd As- Buford Lee Auton: Ke oe CA President, Com uter Club, Boone: Comput. Thus, we believe that the primary purpose of the school is to educate and to guide the American youth in developing competence for participation in a changing democratic society. The school should seek to augment, not to replace, training received through other agencies in the community being served. Therefore, it is imperative that the major goal be to endeavor to promote the mental, physical, and moral growth of youth. The enhancement of individual values, responsibility, dignity, and growth requires that educators be diligent in providing the necessary leadership for fulfilling the goals of quality education. 4.
