Dear Paul, I will try to write you that long promised letter I have been putting off, I find it hard to believe that we actually graduated from dear ole' P.H.S. ten years agotoday. Quite a few changes have taken place since you and Shirley were married and you opened your Sporting Goods Store in New York, I'll try to bring you up to date about the town and our class - mates. My life's ambition of printing a newspaper for Pocahontas was made a reality a few months ago. Many of our classmates are on the paper staff. Jerome Goss and Fontain Carter are employed as typists , Coy Shupe is driving the paper delivery truck, Bobby Young is our number one artist, Louise Austin, Eleanore Draughn, and Shirley Johnson write the columns ''How to Get Along With Men , ''Happy Married Life , and Fashions Exclusively respectively, Jonella Bloch is now writing up the society of Pocahontas' 400, Of course you know we have a new and modern high school located at the ball park, The old building is a national shrine since Dot Ranger and Elizabeth Hedrick have become the only women President and Vice President of the United States, which pleases Mr. Butt very much, Their platform was two boys for every girl and they won by a landslide over Junior French, Jack Bowman, Charles Parton, and Paul Cox are the coaches at the new high school. Poca was unde- feated in all three major sports this year. Allan Sadler drew the plans for the building and Bobby Truitt supervised the construction. Bonnie Harrison and Joy Hill are teaching Home Ec., Peggy Shupe and Margie Hardy teach Governm et and History since Mr. Butt has become principal, Betty Lou Vance is doing a fine job of coaching the girls' basketball team, Carolyn Wolfe is head of the music department, Dot Harrison and Nancy Greene are head nurses of the Infirmary, (Dot works on what she terms her home project in her spare time. What this is no one knows.) Laise Danko is the produce manager in Kroger's where it is reported she received a bonus for selling a record number of grapefruit, and is ably assisted by Dolly Satmary, who specializes in oranges. Oh yes! George Licwov and Billy Phipps are the doctors of the Infirmary, Shirley Sutphin has just opened a new night club in town, ''The Grasshopper , while Orpha Welch and Cye have opened a new self-service grocery store. Joelene Thompson, Patsy Shanahan, and Billie Jean McPeak are now making a fortune by singing commercials over television. Jimmy Shana- han and Kenneth Sheets are playing pro football, while Ralph Hedrick is the newest Valentino in Hollywood. Betty Eskut and Paul Reedy are co-stars of the television program, ''Mind Your Manners , Claude Boothe and Jimmy Farmer are now mining gold in Alaska, Jack Murphy and Arnold French struck oilin Texas, Bernice Billips, Ollie Shultz, and Iris Hicks are owners of the new cigar manufacturing plant. Nancy Payne and Shirley Odom are drawing illustrations for the popular magazine, Live, while Wayne Johnson is known as the Fruit Jar King and Mack Wheeler istitled, ''Mack Wheeler The Used Car Dealer , Darlene Gibson and Shirley Hess are happily married to a couple of oil well owners and last, hut not least Kenneth Franklin is fast making a name for himself playing pro basketball, I'll close for now hoping this finds you, Shirley, and all the family in the best of health.
