Since then there have been several additions and several familiar faces have disappe, ared.,jAt the last counting the num- ber enrolled was ninety. Because of their superior size, the class was divided into three groups, each having a different homeroom. The homeroom teachers were: Mrs. Jeffriesrin room, twen- ty-two, Mrs. Ely in room twenty-four, and Mr. Knapp in room six. The next week, during a class meeting in the auditorium, the following officers were elected: Edsel Arthur, President, Ronald Asbury, Vice Presidentg Erma Hawley, Sec- retary, Ronald Arthur, Treasurer. Each freshman hopes that they can con- tinue to do their work satisfactorily, and to b-e helpful and courteous to their teachers and friends while they are working to be- come the graduating class of 1953. They chose as their colors, Green and Yellow , flower, White Carnation and as their motto, Live to Learn, Learn to Live . thirtyfthree
