Sophomore Class Hlstory September 4, 1948, eighty-one students enrolled in Poca High School as freshmen. This merry group was excited by the idea of beginning high school. The class voted for their colors, red and grey , their flower, the yellow rose , and for their motto, Do or Die . With an increase of five members the group entered as sophomores, September 4, 1949. To head the class, the group chose boys. President, Allen Davisg Vice President, Thurl Cook, Secretary, Ronald Jones: Treasurer, Charles Willard.
