Baseball And Track This year, the Colonial basemen were leading contenders for the league championship. They had a winning season up until the final two cru- cial games with Springfield and Cheltenham. Despite all the teamis efforts, under the leader- ship of Duane Harris and Rick Pontin, these two games ended in defeat and loss of the title. Nevertheless, the juniors on the team made their presence felt this year and the hopes for next yeafs team are ever brighter. This year was a rebuilding year for the C010- nial trackmen. The coaches, Mr. Suarez and Mr. Joe, dedicated their time towards develop- ing the abilities of the talented underclassmen on the team. Captains Barry Ries, Ed Elanjian, Dan Newhard and Karl Fischer provided the experience and leadership needed to build a championship team. These underclassmen: Tom Ruth, Richard Whelan, Brian Quinn, Dave Rauch, Tom Bowman, Steve Schwartz, and Larry McCorristin, will form the crux of next yeafs team. FIRST ROW: D. Harris, R. Kiviat, F.
