Beginning with the Homecoming float, the Sopho- mores showed that hardwork and dedication can generate a feeling of pride as well. as fun. This class will give their best to everything they do because of the pleasure they got out of working together. Having fun is the main thing - without that, no achievement could truly be a success. With that in mind, the Sophs sponsored itAll You Need is Love? a dance featuring the sounds of Alisonthunderland and Commotion, a band made up of members of the class. The Sophomores topped off their first year at P-W at a class picnic with the casual atmo- sphere of fun which has become part of that class. Look for a good time out of the class of 73 in the future at P-W. KNEELING: Barbara Kilpatrick, Vice-President, Frank Kahoe, President, Vivian Walters, Secre- tary. PA- , The 1970-71 marching season was the best ever for the Marching Colonials as they came home victorious as many times as they went out hopeful. In all, they col- lected 15 first places, four second places, three third places and one fourth place which is one of, if not the best, records of any band in Pennsylvania. During the winter months, the individual units were busy on their own. The Color Guard and Majorettes competed in several indoor competitions bringing back awards each time. At the band-sponsored Drill Compe- tition, held in February, the band introduced a new concept for marching bands as they performed inside on the basketball court. Mr. Ron Holly then began to prepare the musicians for their annual Spring Concert which was held in April. Assisting Mr. Holly during the fall was Mr. James Powell, Mr. Edward Stimson, who directed the Color Guard, and Mrs. Janice Smith, who led the Majorettes. This year there was a total of 135 students on the field, 80 band members, 40 Color Guard, and 15 Majorettes. The hard work and long hours which everyone put in were well worth it this year, and if this is only the begin- ning, the band will bring more honor to P-W in years to come. Footbal FIRST ROW: B. The efforts of the 1970 Colonial Football team resul ed in a successful 6-4 season. The Colonials opened the season with a non-lea game against Central Bucks East which P-W won 48-1 Against Cheltenham and Springfield, the Colonial d fense, due to the hot weather and the hot oppositio just couldn,t jell. They fell to the Springfield Sparta 41-12, and lost to Cheltenham in addition to losi Steve Schwartz to a broken collarbone. The following week, the P-W squad bounced ba into shape by beating Norristown 48-14, and followi that came the defeat of Methacton, 20-6. Both gam showed a great team effort which was headed by h- back Mark Falzone. At Homecoming, Upper Merion was the team to be in order to possibly place second in the league. Howev the tough Upper Merion offense out-scored the Col nials during the first half, and despite the very clo score, we were not able to match them, and lost 36-30. The highlight of the season was the win over Abin ton, 36-3. It was a fine exhibition of a football tea working as a unit. This was the first time that the P- football squad defeated the Abington Ghosts . Sharon Purcell Nancy Gessner Queen, Janet Lunger Jeanne Reifsnyder Chris Erickson lst. place float, Class of 72. Homecoming 70 From the first thoughts, through the preparations, to the day itself, Homecoming offered many exciting activities to the entire school. Each class and Ars Medica prepared floats Which presented their interpretations of the Colpnial spirit. The senior class portrayed the destruction of a Viking ship. Meanwhile, the junior class was preparing for a feast by roasting a Viking on the prizewinning float. The giant colonial who led us on to a near victory was made by the sophomore class. The medical crew on the Ars Medica float was preparing the Vikings for what was to come. The happiness of the Queen and her court was sym- bolized by the release of many colorful balloons as the Queen was crowned at the game. Although the game was lost, the spirit of the students was everpresent at the pep-rally Friday evening, the game, and at the post-game party on the Cowpath. The climax of the weekend was ttHarvest Haze,n the Homecoming Dance. Here, the triumphant Queen reigned amidst the pulsating music of Montage. Hockey The girls, Varsity Hockey team finished with another winning season this year, under the leadership of Miss West. Though they suffered their first loss in four years, the girls compiled a record of 5-2-2, scoring a total of 14 goals to the opponents 10. They had a good team this year, one which had a great num- ber of experienced players, and was always striving for a victory. Each girl was outstand- ing in her own way, and this years seniors will be surely missed. The girls, Junior Varsity Hockey team, under the capable coaching of Mrs. Manning, compiled a 4-3-2 record. These girls did a fine job this year, and the coaches are looking forward to both a fine Varsity and Junior Varsity team next year. x. FIRST ROW: K. Morris, E. Bartlet, W. Brown, J. Sasse, S. Soccer llBefore saying anything about the soccer team here as compared to the soccer teams in Brazil, I want to ask all of you a question: can you imagine a group of skinny tnot like mel Brazilians playing football? Well, I think it would be possible though I think the death ratio in Brazil would increase with such a game. But what would the chances of our team be? Another question: what would the chances of an American soccer team be in a game with the Brazilians? None! However, at P-W we have several good soccer players tthey must have a Brazilian backgroundl. For example, I can cite Nelson Dudde, Dave Mill- er, Jeff Aiken, Donny Williams, and othersf, In- deed, with these star players, the Colonial soccer team, though it didnlt win the league crown this year, did compile a Suburban I league record of 4- 2-2. Kraiman Town Crier Last J une, when the staff for this yearts Town Crier was selected, the new editors hoped to establish the newspaper as a foru'm for dialogue in the High School. However, motivating students to write proved to be extremely difficult, and the editors ad- justed their original goals and formed, instead, a cen- tral core of writers that wrote issue after issue. This change altered many aspects of the paper. The quality of the writing improved with each addi- tion as the writers, abilities were developed. Thus, the general quality of the newspaper was upgraded because there was never a lack of printable material. Under the leadership of Art Turfa, the staff of the Town Crier was expanded to include both juniors and sophomores. This expansion lead to a diversity of opinion and ideas concerning the organization of the paper itself. The staff may not have viewed this yearts paper as a complete success, but they felt that one small step has been taken towards making the Town Crier a rep- resentative, high-quality newspaper. Brown chapter of the National Honor Society is part 01 a national organization which is dedicated to the promotion of scholars ship and of a spirit of service among the students of Plymouth-White- marsh High School. Membership in this society is perhaps the highest scholastic honor offered by the school. The present members were inducted in the spring last year and were chosen both for their scholastic average and their extra-curricular activ: ities, which range from clubs, to musical organizations, to literary organiza- tions, to any of the school sports. As always lack of money was a problem, so the Honor Society spon- sored bake sales at Plymouth Square and at Shoppersi World. Some 01 the members did their part toward community service by tutoring ele- mentary school children on Saturday mornings in modern math and reading. Although everyone did not participate in this program, those who did so found it very rewarding. Last but not least, came the induc- tion of those persons into the club who will be the leaders of the Society and the school next year. KNEELING: S. Krill, M. Bate, E. Elanjian, M. Coscia. Middle States Evaluation The evaluation of our school by the Middle States Association in November caused much tension throughout the student body. But it is hoped that the evaluation will achieve itts original purpose, that of improving the level of our overall education by making a study of our school in all of itts phases. Throughout the three days that the evaluators were here they re- viewed our self-evaluation, as well as the present curriculum, the Student Activities Program, Guidance and Educational Media Serv- ices, public services provided through the school, the Administra- tion, and staff members. All in all, it was a unique experience for ev- eryone concerned. This year the Junior Class has been constantly on the go. The year began with a committee working on the Junior Class float. The float, which represented a Viking roasted on a spit, took first place in the Homecoming contest. The following event was the Christmas dance sponsored by the Junior Class. It was highlighted by the American Dream, and set a new pace for all the dances to come. Behind the scenes, the officers and sponsors are developing committees covering the prom, rings and class movie. The prom, called ilWindmill of Your Mindi, was held at General Washington on April 24 and was a great success. The ring committee, which started last year, was way ahead of the game when school started this fall, and the Ju- niors received their rings before Christmas. The movie com- mittee, which was started during their sophomore year, is still in process. The film, which will be presented at the Se- nior prom, will have a sound program accompanying it. The Junior Class is one of the 'most active organizations this year. We wish them the best of luck in all their endeavors and an enjoyable senior year, next year. It,s membership has greatly increased since people found the activities both varied and extremely interesting. Selected films on education were shown each month in addi- tion to having several speakers. Mr. Selinger started the year by speaking on the Mass Media and how it affects our educa- tion. The Student Teachers spoke in December about the col- leges they were attending and the required education courses for teaching. The annual Christmas Party for Head-Start children which the members planned, was held on December 19. The party was a gTeat success for the children and FTA members alike. They organized the Faculty Talent show which was presented for the Seniors in January and revealed many of our teacherst hidden talents. The Forensic Society is not the only debate club in the school. PTA members held their own inner-school debates discussing teaching problems. They also worked out an exchange program with neighboring schools, so that those interested could see var- ious types of high school education. SEATED: K. Carr, K. Tamaki, A. Scarafone, M. One of the most difficult and sometimes depressing tasks in the school is that of student government. The ulti- mate goal of all Student Council organizations is to work as closely as possible with both administrators and stu- dents for the benefit of everyone in P-W. Its a goal which needless to say has not yet been realized. This is not to say that Student Council was inactive this year. Council got off to a good start by sponsoring the years first pep-rally. For those that remember, a thunder- storm caused an liafter the last minute change, and ev- eryone went back inside. At least give Council credit for knowing to come in out of the rain. This pep-rally was in- dicative of a very rocky October and November. It seemed that Council was always up against one difficulty or another. Towards December, things settled down enough for Council to start getting things done. Besides running bus- es to basketball games and sponsoring dances, Council prepared an extensive report on the study hall situation, and spent a great deal of time trying to improve conditions in the I.M.C. Crusades for student rights and an end t vandalism were also taken up. The most significant thing that Council did was to shift its emphasis away from paper drives and bake sales an toward a greater concern with student policies. It is hope that this will set a precedent for the future. This years Council can best be described as being the initial link in . long chain of increasing liberalization in the schools. Th task of the Council in the following years will be made eas- ier because of this. Future Nurses of America The Future Nurses of Americas main goal this year was to inform interested students about the careers available in the field of nursing. The club has had speakers from area hospitals come to speak about the programs offered where they worked to help the mem- bers decide what type of nursing program they would like to follow twhether it be for a diploma, degree, or associate degreel. Their hope was that the members would gain useful information which would help guide them toward the futures of their choice, based upon a good general knowledge about nursing. Members were encouraged to participate in prepara- tory jobs such as being hospital volunteers, nurses aides, or working on service projects so that they might IRST ROW: 8. Green, A. With a veterinarian, a psy- chiatrist, an osteopath, a Red Cross worker from the blood bank, an obstetrician, and a pathologist for speakers, it is one of the most varied clubs in the school. In between meetings, Ars Medica participat- ed in the AFS Bazaar and Homecoming. Their booth at the Bazaar, though it profited only one dollar, was fun to make and run, as was the homecoming float. Since Mrs. Brannen left last year, the clubs new sponsor was Mrs. Sayare. Due to her congeniality, the officers were able to work quite well with her in planning ideas for programs. The field trips were ex- tremely interesting, especially the tour of Penhurst which gave a fairly good view of what hospitals and schools for the mentally retarded are like. But the ice cream stop on the return trip was the thing which really made the day, and the year. Ars Medica FIRST ROW: L. RykaczeWSki, M. Webster, B. Hale, M. Garshman, W. Goodrich. SECOND ROW: G. Under the leadership of Peter Schwartz, President, Fran Rose, Vice-president, and Mr. Carl Goodwin, Sponsor, the Councilis goals have been re-es- tablished, thus resulting in itis total reorganiza- tion. Meetings that were once primarily club business discussions have become forums on world problems. Also the recent institution of committee groups has created learning as well as a more meaningful club experience for its members. Philadelphia forums were also avail- able to members who want to further broaden their views on the world,s problems. Under their new sponsor, Mr. Feiner, the American Field Service has been as busy as ever, with fund raising projects, and with more internationally-minded programs such as hav- ing exchange students from area schools visit and stay the weekend, as they did in the spring. Forensic Society With today,s communication problem, the students of P-W need a place to say what they wish - in art or creative writing. Thatts where the Continental fits in. Twice a year, it publish- es students, reactions to life, and accompanying these reactions, artistic viewpoints on the same reactions. Certainly students will never stop reacting, and if the Continental was to be dedi- cated, it would be to such students. Forensics play an important role in life. Communication by speech has always been important to man. The society was created for people who had a sincere desire to be able to speak intelligently now and throughout their lives. This year, the Forensic Society laid a solid foundation for itts future. The members learned about the techniques and skills of debating, poetry and prose reading, persuasive and in- formative speaking, and other verbal arts. Drama, no matter how old or how new, is a view of life as seen by different people. The Colonial Players are people who care about life, and, who in their own special way, try to present look at life through the medium of the stage. This year, under the guidance of Miss J ean Baker, the Players began working with Viola Spabinis Theater Games. They spon- sored an open Theater Games Workshop with Stephen Book ' February. This year, the Players major presentation consisted of tw plays, one old the other new, concerned with problems in to days world. They were The Trojan Women by Euripedes, a pla centered on war and the devastation it brings, and The Bat Soprano, an anti-play by Eugene Ionesco, which showed th C OlOnial P1 ay erS communication gap between people. They opened the year with their annual bake sale, Saturday, October 10 at the Norristown game. On October 29, the members attended the Fall Regional Meeting with other F.B.L.A. chapters from the surrounding area, at Archbishop Kennedy High School. They also attended the Spring Regional, where members participated in business skill contests on a competitive basis. If possible, some of the club members hope to attend the National Conference in Miami, on June 19. All the F.B.L.A. chapters in Pennsylvania started a statewide project this school year. Our chapter collected General Mills coupons in order to purchase a hemodi- alysis machine for one of the chapter presidents, who recently had a kidney transplant. In order to achieve this, 600,000 coupons had to be collected by June 1971. In addition to running the Lost and Found, F.B.L.A. had a car wash this spring, the profits from which will be used to finance future trips and projects. Science Research Club During the past few years, Science Research Club has been run as a club in which one could go hear lectures by scientists. This year, under their new sponsor, Mr. Rea, the club was re-oriented toward research as its main purpose for existence. Monthly meetings were still held, but in addition to the speakers members gave reports on their research. Six staff members were involved in research and next year it is hoped that everyone on the science staff will participate in research as well as the students. The problems which were studied this year concerned mag- netic fields, the gravitational field, lasers and halogra- phy, interferon, plant viruses, frictionless motion, and ecological field research. The meetings of Le Petit Club Francais were, for those involve in the club, a true delight. More than the regular French Club, th club offered a small group of students a chance to become involve with the French language, cuisine, customs, countryside, film operas, and sculpture. Last year they heard lectures in Bench 0 French art and sculpture Which were followed by visits to the R din Museum, to the performance of the great French pantomimi Marcel Marceau, and to the Art Museum for the Van Gogh exhi o it. This year they continued their exposure by seeing such Frenc films as Les Quatres Cents Coups at the Lauffout Film Festival . the University of Penn and by seeing slides of France. Furthe more, they became really involved in the language by acting on reading, and singing Les Parapluies de Cherbourg and Carmen. At each meeting, one of the members tried his or her hand at t French cuisine, much to Miss Bonowis joy. To start off the Ne Year, there was a treasure hunt throughout the school, searchi for 1e docteur et le Pic, which was just as much fun as charades. . these things combined have resulted in close friendships, wit teachers and students alike, which are rare. erman Club IRST ROW: N. They met with their friends in the Spanish Club and celebrated over two pinatas, which had been stuffed with goodies. They also saw films and heard speakers along with having their usual food days to acquaint students with var- ious types of food. The members of the German Club treated food in a different way. In December, they sponsored a bake sale to raise money for the purchase of slides and other visual aids to aid in the under- standing of life and customs in Germany. Some have already been purchased through dues and were shown at the Christmas Party, December 21. Also at the party, there were traditional German carols, a skit, and food. Throughout the year, there were student speakers who present- ed slides and discussions about life in Germany, as well as native born Germans who spoke to the club. The Spanish Club started its year by taking a trip to the Acade- my of Music to see the Ballet Folklorico, a group of Mexican folk dancers. Everyone who went really enjoyed the fabulous show. They also visited a Spanish restaurant, and went to the special Spanish and Mexican exhibits shown at museums in the surround- ing area. Spanish Club FIRST ROW: J. Pure, V. Smith, B. Delp, M. Indoor Track Few teams have ever progressed as well and as rapidly as the Indoor Track Team. The last two years have wit- nessed the building of a strong and determined team. Every man gave one hundred percent all of the time. When he finished his race, his job was only half finished, the rest of it was to help a teammate. Every effort was a team effort. When one man won, the entire team won, not only as athletes, but as individuals . The ,71 Colonials are now a part of the past. The E , medals won, the records broken, and the races both won .. and lost are remnants of a season gone by. But another E part of the season remains with each member of the ' team; the conviction that desire and determination make anything possible. After all, isnlt that what this thing is all about? Ski Club The Ski Club under President Rhonee Fried is pres- ently becoming the most popular club in P-W. It is a unique club because it concentrates on the individual, rather than a select few. Novice skiers have no reason to be embarrassed due to limited skiing knowledge. Under the leadership of their sponsors, Mr. Bieler, Mr. Weyl, Mrs. Sayare, and Miss Ekberg, the club has adopted a motto: uWe just don,t ignore the beginners, we try to help them W The club through a lot of work raised money for their trips. Fencing Fencing is not the most popular sport here at P-W, but approximate- ly 20 girls have learned and are mas- tering the fundamentals of fencing, and find it quite exciting. The se- niors have been fencing now for three years and are quite good, while the sophomores and juniors are progress- ing rapidly. Once again, under the direction of Mrs. Pavlak, P-W,s fencers met ev- ery Monday to perfect their skills. The clubts goals are to teach fencing and to have members fence competi- tively. Wrestling is an exciting sport and, as Mr. Joe said, it encompasses speed, skill, and strength. More and more people were finding this out, as the crowds at the meets kept becoming larger. At the start of the season, the Colonial grapplers were picked as one of the favorites for the League Championship; but due to untimely injuries and sickness to key matmen, and other such problems, the team did not - realize it,s goal. Nonetheless, P-W was highly respected in the League Wl'eStllng thanks to the skill of our top wrestlers like Bill Racich, who finished with one of the best wrestling records this school has produced, Dennis Fonte, and Chuck Leonard. Next year promises to be even better, since the majority of this yearis team was composed of sophomores and juniors. Colonial Girls and Wrestling Belles Who were all those pretty girls distributing programs at the basketball games? They were. the Colonial Girls. In case you didn,t notice, there were more of them this year,'but they were called the Wrestling Belles, and they worked at the wrestling meets . The Colonial Girls were es- tablished last year, so the hard part of their job, that of raising school support of basketball games, had already been ac- complished. The team finished with a record of 19-2, second best in the Suburban I League, and third in the Delaware Valley. The only two losses came to the tough Norristown team. The Colonials blasted the remainder of their opposition and were certainly frustrated in their excellence for they werentt able to reach the Palestra for that shot at the State Championship. The dynamic trio of Greg Delong, Gary Mitchell, and Rick Clewell, all of whom started on the varsity squad as sophomores, did a tre- mendous job in bringing P-W itts great record. Greg led in rebound- ing, Gary in assists, and Rick in scoring. The other senior starter, Harvey Schutzbank, contributed greatly in scoring, rebounding, and defense. The only junior starter, Tom Mitchell, was a tremendous asset to the team in both shooting and defense. The team passed, dribbled, shot, played defense, and rebounded extremely well. It was definitely one of the most well-balanced teams in the state and in the history of P-W basketball. Something new came to the girls, basketball team this 1970-71 season, the five-player game. This was the first year that the girls used boysi rules, and they made the adjustment beautifully. The Varsity finished the season with a successful record of seven wins and two losses, while the Junior Varsity posted a season record of five wins and four loss- es. The team lost two heart-breaking games against Springfield and Upper Merion by a total of four points. This put the Colonials in a four-way tie for first place in the league. The girls were coached by Miss Patri- cia West and Mrs. Linda Smith and were Co-Captained by seniors Nancy McCorristin and Sharon Olszewski. Other seniors on the team were, Bar- bara Rensimer, Kris Smith, Joann Gil- lespie and Marnie Hoffman . This years most valuable player is Nancy McCorristin, who was the most outstanding girl on both offense and defense. wv Girls, Basketba Varsity, FIRST ROW: B. Rensimer, N. McConistin, S. Class of 1971 This yearis Senior class finally made it. They were 7541 in ,71. The elements which made up the class possessed the talents needed to meet each new challenge which was presented to them. The main goal of the officers and sponsors has been to reach out to those students who ordinarily were uninvolved in any class or extra-curricular activities and to draw these stu- dents into school functions. As one looks back at the past activi- ties of the class, such as the basketball game with the Harlem Diplomats, and the Junior Prom, and then at the activities of this year, one can see how the class has grown together, and functioned even better as time has passed. The officers, sponsors, and committee chairmen worked espe- cially hard throughout the winter of the 1970-71 school year to make certain that the end of their senior year was especially memorable. After Homecoming, the class sponsored no major activities until February when the Old Time Film Festival, star- ring W. C. Fields in ttNever Give A Sucker An Even Break, and ttWolfman7 with Lon Chaney, was held. Then, in March, All You Need Is Love7 premiered, starring over 150 seniors. May was a special month for everyone who attended the Banquet at the Covered Wagon, and then, ttCome Saturday Morning7 at the Westover Country Club. All of these activities in addition to Commencement, helped bring their high school life to a happy close. ,71 OFFICERS, KNEELING: Harvey Schutzbank, Vice-president; Ron Regan, President; Alan Berk, Vice-presiden STANDING: Joe Gambone, Treasurer; Mr. James Doyle, Sponsor; Bernadette Greene, Secretary; Mr. Thomas Madell Sponsor. tNot pictured: Miss Carol Bonow, SponsorJ Senior Committee Chairmen l f FIRST R0 W: M. Events like the Senior Prom, Dinner, and Production donlt ust happen. tlLittle details,, like rings, the class gift, mugs, and yuttons donlt take care of themselves. Someone has to devote jime and energy to get these things done. Under the leadership kf the above individuals, plans were made and carried out by the :hairmen themselves, and their committees. I All who attended the activities presented by the Senior class ,ihis year were certainly able to appreciate the fine job that was lone by the chairmen. Though they received little reward or iecognition for all their efforts, these class leaders were satisfied yith the knowledge that many people had enjoyed the fruits of gheir labor and that they had done a job. Mcllvaine 167 DEATH IS A DOOR Death is only an old door Set in a garden wall; On gentle hinges it gives, at dusk When the thrushes call. Along the lintel are green leaves, Beyond the light lies still; Very willing and weary feet Go over that sill. There is nothing to trouble any heart; Nothing to hurt at all. Death is only a quiet door In an old wall. Nancy Byrd Turner rwmaww Exchange Students For thousands of years men have been using words, written or spoken, as the best way to communicate and to tell each other about their opinions and feel- ings. Nevertheless, this important tool of ours either fails or just wonit work when the things we want to say come from somewhere in the bottom of our hearts. I am in this position now. Even if I tried to say how I feel in Portuguese I wouldnit be able to do it! Its hard to tell you precisely how good it was to play on the soccer team, how much fun it was to listen to Ed Shertzls Italian jokes, how hard it was to wash test tubes after school with Dave Miller, how embarass- ing it was when Rick Volpe asked me to go up on the stage during the first assembly that we had . . . I will never forget these things as well as I wonit forget the help that I got from all my teachers. Thank you so much P-W! Cleber The most exciting year of my life is almost over. Now when I look back at my year here I can say that I have learned to know this area where I have lived and these people with which I have lived very well. My present opinions of this society are no more based on wishful thinking or imagination but on my own expe- riences of this school and these people. Not only my attitudes and opinions toward certain questions have changed, but I myself am different from that Jaakko who came here a year ago. I have learned a lot since I came here. I know now much more about people and especially about myself. Now I will be much more ready to live my life in my own country because I now have something to compare it with. I have seen that Finland is not the only good place to live and that the Finnish people are not the best people in every respect. The people of this place have made my year here such as it has been - a great, pleasant, useful experi- ence. I am sure that it has not always been so easy to help me but because you did it I now have a good rea- son to be very grateful to these good people who gave me this unforgetable year. Official Milestone Photographers Zamsky Studios Best Wishes Colonial Education Association Colonial Players Baseball And Track This year, the Colonial basemen were leading contenders for the league championship. They had a winning season up until the final two cru- cial games with Springfield and Cheltenham. Despite all the teamis efforts, under the leader- ship of Duane Harris and Rick Pontin, these two games ended in defeat and loss of the title. Nevertheless, the juniors on the team made their presence felt this year and the hopes for next yeafs team are ever brighter. This year was a rebuilding year for the C010- nial trackmen. The coaches, Mr. Suarez and Mr. Joe, dedicated their time towards develop- ing the abilities of the talented underclassmen on the team. Captains Barry Ries, Ed Elanjian, Dan Newhard and Karl Fischer provided the experience and leadership needed to build a championship team. These underclassmen: Tom Ruth, Richard Whelan, Brian Quinn, Dave Rauch, Tom Bowman, Steve Schwartz, and Larry McCorristin, will form the crux of next yeafs team. FIRST ROW: D. Harris, R. Kiviat, F. The four seniors, Barb Rensimer, Kris Smith, Marnie Hoffman, and Peggy Kav- etski, will be sorely missed next year. Barb was the high scorer of the year and Kris, as goalie, was the most valuable player. The JV also had a successful season. Both teams had a good de- fensive year and the coaches are looking forward to next year. For the past four years, the Colonial swingers have captured the coveted title of the Suburban I championship. The desire for a fifth straight accolade, however, was unattainable since the Upper Dublin Cardinals rightfully earned the title. Nonetheless, the 9-3 overall record com- piled by the Colonials was in no way embarrass- ing. The outlook for next year is better. This years juniors will all be returning, with a year of experience behind them. FIRST ROW: N. Opel, N. Killen, E. Barlett. SECOND ROW: P. Pfeiffer, D. Diesinger, S. Matchett, S. Novak, V. Walters.
