Thirty seconds previous to this Bill Bernardo --.., had run twentyrtive yards to score the tying touchdown ' after receiving a twenty-five yard pass from Butch Hood with one minute fifty seconds remaining to play in the game. This was the first meeting hetween the schools and the last game of the season for the Colonials. A large turn-out cheers the Colonials on to victory as the viewers in the press hox watch intently. ,n s X Q' 4 Y ' The offensive players wait intently lor the defense to regain the hall. The expression of their faces reflects the tenseness of a close game.

Competing in Suburban II, the Colonials led by Dick Medvetz and Steve Chaplin finished the season with a 7-4 record. Their first meet was a heartbreaker as they lost to Norristown by three points. In the next live meets the Colonials won two and lost three. Then as if by a mysterious power, the team developed that extra energy and spirit which were invaluable. They literally ran away from their last five opponents and swept all their remaining meets. Each win was a team effort and marked the beginning of I'-VV's rise in contention in all sports. Hey, it's wet, yells Steve Chaplin, as the boys 68 clown around after a victory.
