In grateful recognition of your efforts to improve the scholastic, athletic, and moral standards of Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School, we, the class of nineteen hundred and fifty-eight, do dedicate our Milestone to you, Mr. Rodger T. Dombrow. OFQ C0014 Looking back on this past year, we think of the many changes that our school has seen since it first opened its doors. At last our school building is completed, with a new junior high building and an auditorium added to our former building. A new football field can be seen in the back of the school. All these physical changes and changes in our enlarged administrative, scholas- tic, and activity programs constitute our theme for this year, THE NEW LOOK. Many other things come to mind when we, the Class of 1958, think of our wonderful senior year here. We remember a very important occasion at Ply- mouth-Whitemarsh-the birth of our school spirit. There was never a more welcome sight than that of our boys being cheered by our student body as they played a tough football game here at home. An interested faculty and wonderful facilities combined to give us a fine education. Yes, we have learned a great deal at Plymouth-Whitemarsh, not just material from a textbook, but a way of life-a very fine code of ethics and morality. This includes, as it states in our Alma Mater, a belief in God and freedom, future without fears. This is our heritage which we will carry with us when we leave, a heritage instilled by you, our Alma Mater, Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School. Editor, 1958 Milestone 7 at JN! Finally, may each and every class member make his or her contribution to I Society so that our World is a better place in which to work and to live. QM., DEW CARDIN D. BROWN Supervising Principal yjrfh C400 Education is the leading of human souls to what is best, and making what is best out of them, and these two objects are always attainable together, and by the same means. The training which makes men happiest in themselves also makes them most serviceable to othersf' ' - -JOHN RUSKIN on the Benefit! of Education The class of 1958 will long be remembered for its outstanding contributions to the student body of Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School. The leadership and services you have given to student organizations and projects, are attributes which will be major assets in your future endeavors. Such attributes, coupled with a sound educational background, will enable you to make valuable con- tributions to your church, community and future vocation. With such service, I am sure, the many blessings of our life in a free society, will be bestowed upon you and your families in the years ahead. QW? RODGER T. Both Gabby and Judy have been on the staff since its beginning in 1954. Bruce, a junior, has been on the staff for three years, serving in the capacity of sports editor for the last two. Almost every four weeks students at Plymouth-Whitemarsh get to read all the news of the school when they buy their copy of the TOWN CRIER. Long hours of hard work by the twenty staff members and the two advisers make the paper possible. Most of the time the writers, editors, and advisers are together only to get the paper to the press, but in March they spend an enjoyable weekend together in New York City while attending the Columbia Scholastic Press Convention.
