CONNING TOWER 1987 A LOOK OF OUR OWN Tradition - a word that means Plymouth State. The Conning Tower over Rounds Hall and the memories of good times made Plymouth State the place that alumni wanted to return to. Plymouth State overflowed with many traditions. Homecoming. Winter Carnival, Blucgrass, and Livermore Falls. Traditions were adapted and new activities started in hopes of beginning a new tradition. The strength of our alumni helped keep these traditions alive. Their visits and continuing support renew our love for Plymouth State. 2 Left Page: Top Right: I'm ape happy! A LOOK BACK AT ’87 Reflections . . . recollections . . . a time to look back and recall memories from both the distant and recent past. We may look back and remember our years at PSC from the first insecure, revealing freshman year to the present, or we may just think back on the past year. Orientation and sports camps began the year and activities continued throughout the fall. The highlight of Homecoming, also brought back alumni from both far and near. Winter activities flourished with Winter Carnival and a variety of winter sports. Who could forget tray-sledding and snowball fights? And of course. Spring Break announced the coming of warm weather. Laying out on ML lawn, frisbee on the Common, and trips to Livermore. And as a final goodbye, Spring Fling, Bluegrass, and the final Graduation party. We will always carry these memories with us to recall our pride and loyalty, as well as our good times and lasting friendships from PSC. Top Right: You light up my life. Middle Left: That's the line up. Middle Right: Our Son! Bottom: Don’t fall. 6 7 9 Left Page:Top: Pemi's Bloom County. Bottom: Hat's off to Alice. Right Page: Top: Grafton King and Queen. We were all different, yet in many ways we were all the same. We all experienced the crunch of finals or the excitement of the Snow Ball or the annual snowball fights between dorms. The Plymouth experience began the day we walked into our dorms as freshmen and met the person we would spend the next nine months with. We went through the horrors of registration which was hard to master even after 4 years. However, fun was always in the air at Plymouth. Playing at the field house, lounging in the sun at M.L. Beach, playing frisbee on the common, or cruising to Livermore . . . The good and bad times were experienced and shared by all. However, no matter how diverse the experience the one common aspect was the people, the people we met in class, the people we lived with, and the people we formed lasting friendships with.
