Al ima WdJzinMn Memorial PlacjjUe Last year the Women’s Athletic Association set up this Norma Wilkinson Memorial Award in order to preserve the memory of the outstanding personality of Norma Kay Wilkinson, a member of the Class of 1955, hoping that the presentation each year will become an honored tradition at Plymouth Teachers College. This year Catherine M. Shaw is particularly honored by being chosen as that senior woman, who, in the eyes of all concerned, comes closest to approximating Norma’s outstanding qualities. Through the presentation of this award, may the spirit and memory of Norma be kept alive at Plymouth Teachers College. 19

We, the graduating class of 1955, shall go forth from these Halls of Ivy, forever holding dear the memory of our classmate, Norma Kay Wilkinson, whose untimely death in the summer of 1953 took her from us — and all those who loved her. Although she is gone, we will never forget her. Norma’s personality, her zest for life, and her incomparable concern for her fellow-man were impressed even upon those who knew her casually. Therefore, we co-dedicate our yearbook to John C. Foley and Norma Kay Wilkinson, a person who gave something of herself to everyone she knew. To us, this is proof of immortality. 18
