Art is a required course in the Junior High School and in ninth grade, lout it is an elective for those High School students interested in or with a talent for art. Metal and wood shops are also available to those hoys who are interested in these crafts as holohies or as careers. Journalism is the course availaiole to those interested in furthering talent for writing, or for those expecting to enter the literary Field. The second and third year students of this class edit the school paper, the 'Shawnee Arrow... and this is possible only through the knowledge and experience gained in the journalism classes. lxflechanical drawing is another elective, though available only to seniors.
