After teaching at Larksville High School for several years. Miss Mary Shovlin came to Plymouth High School to teach ninth grade Science. Miss Shov- lin graduated from Larltsville High School, East Stroudsburg State Teachers' College and Mis- ericordia College. Head coach of the football team and American History teacher is Mr. Edward Bromin- ski, who came here from Ber- wick High School. He gradu- ated from Swoyerville High School, Wyoming Seminary and Columbia University. Mr. Bro- minski is also a member of the Athletic Council. Nlr. Alex Kraynack gradu- ated from Plymouth High School and Bloomsburg Teach- ers' College, teaches Sophomore History and is a Iunior Class sponsor. He is faculty manager of athletics. He attended Penn- sylvania State College. M1 Ixzaynac at 11 Humorous Element Besides instructing the ninth grade Algebra classes Miss Sadie Richards is treasurer of the lu- nior High School. She is a graduate Oli Plymouth High School and Hloomsburg State Teachers' College. In addition. lyliss Richards has taken exten- sion courses at Bucknell and La- M'r. Cohen Fxplrnm Ihr Pioto 061 At the head of the Biology department is Mr. Samuel B. Cohen. Mr. Cohen is a gradu- ate of Plymouth High School and Bloomsburg State Teachers' College. This is his second year as a member of the Plymouth High School faculty. Mr. lohn Bogilsl-ty teaches Biology and Chemistry. He is a graduate of Plymouth High School and St. Thomas College. As officers they elect- ed: George Kulick. presidentg lanet San- ders. vice-presidentg Nancy Iones, secre- tary-treasurerg and Raymond Davenport, usher. Already showing dramatic possi- bilities, they presented a play entitled Miss Puntsettia. The outstanding event of the year was the freshman party. held in the Gymnasium. 2-11 The next year found the class sopho- mores. Entering enthusiastically into high school activities, they immediately selected a set of capable olficers. Those chosen were: President. Iohn Dopkog vice-president. Bernice Hester: secretary, Ianet Sandersg treasurer, Merlin Iones. Some of the boys participated in ath- letics. while the girls joined the glee club and other organizations. . ,V f ' lf! Athletics, glee club, H1-Y, Girl Reserves. dramatics, and Shawnee Arrow all tend- ed to make this year enioyalvle. The annual junior dance was held under the direction of the class otficers and sponsors. The officers lor the year were: Iohn Dopko, Bernice Hester, Btty Reese, Bill Harry. .Xt last the long-awaited time and the class of 1939 became seniors. Olliicers elected for their last important year were: Donald Davis. president. lanet Sanders. vice-presidentg Tillie Kwiatkoxvski, secretary: and Hill Murray, treasurer. Once more the class took part in the vari- ous cluhs and athletics. ln addition. seniors took outstanding parts in the school play, the Oratorical Contest and senior play. The class loy- ally supported the senior dance. and it proved to be a success. , Page Twelve E
