They do Wrong who say I come no more When once I knock and fail to find you ing For every day I stand outside your door, And bid you wake, and rise to fight and win. -Walter Malone We build our future, thought by thought, Or good or bad, and know it not- Yet so the universe is wrought. Yesterday is but a dream, Tomorrow is but a vision, But today well spent Makes every yesterday a dream of happiness, Every tomorrow a vision of hope. Look well therefore to This Day-- Such is the salutation of the Dawn. HSanskrit Teach me your mood, O patient stars! Who climb each night the ancient sky, Leaving on space no shade, no scars, No trace of age, no fear to die. There are glimpses of heaven to us in every act or thought, or word, that rises above ourselves. I live for those who love me, Whose hearts are kind and trueg For the Heaven that smiles above me, And awaits my spirit too, For all human ties that bind me, For the task by G-od assigned me, For the bright hopes yet to find me, And the good that I can do. There is so much good in the worst of us, And so much bad in the best of us, That it ill behooves any of us To Hnd fault with the rest of us.

Isn't it strange that princes and kings And clowns that caper in sawdust rings, And common folks like you and me Help to make up Eternity? To each is given a bag of tools, A shapeless mass and a book of rules, And each must make, ere life is Hown, A stumbling block, or a stepping-stone. We are a people of destiny- America is,God's experimental ground- The worldcan live together, for It does live together in us. -E. Stanley Jones Calm Soul of all things: make it mine To feel, amid the city's jar, That there abides a place of thine, Man did not make, and cannot mar! -Matthew Arnold. There are loyal hearts, there are spirits brave, There are souls that are pure and true, Then give to the world the best you have And the best will come back to you. -Qladeline Bridges So live that when thy summons comes to join The innumerable caravan that moves To the pale realm of shade, where each shall take His chamber in the silent hall of death, Thou go not like the quarry-slave at nite Scourged to his dungeon, But sustained and soothed By an unfaltering trust, Approach thy grave Like one who wraps the drapery of his couch about him, And lies down to pleasant dreams. ---Bryant

The truth itself is not believed From one who often had deceived. Oh, Master Builder! Keep thou our vision clear Upon thy perfect plan- May we with patient, tender, skillful hand Unfold, Uplift, Expand. My life is great only as I have committed myself to some great cause, some program, some idea, greater than I alone could be. The ,first step to greatness is to be honest. -Johnson The Holy Supper is kept, indeed, In Whatso we share with another's need, Not what we give, but what we share, For the gift without the giver is bare, Who gives himself with his alms feeds three, Himself, his hungering neighbor, and Me. -James Russell Lowell My business is not to remake myself, But to make the absolute best of what God made. -Browning So nigh is grandeur to our dust So near to Cod is man, When duty whispers low, Thou must, The youth replies, I can. -Emerson Just to do good in a quiet way, Just to make brighter another's day, Just toturn hard work into play And thus gain nutrition.
