Spiritual Ehnughta I AM YOUTH Iam the spirit of youth. To me life is a great adventure. I give people the ability to adjust themselves to new and different circumstances. ' I am willing to try and try again. I know failure does not spell defeat. I inject a spirit of daring. The future and all it holds attracts me. In full appreciation of the past, I am primarily interested in the future. I am not satisfied with life's dull, monotonous round. I want vibrant life with meaning and purpose. I have a consuming desire to make life Worth- while by serving humanity. I do not believe the world is going to the dogs. Iam dissatisfied with social conditions as they are, and I am willing to spend myself to change them. I was dominant in the life of Jesus, and because of that he is dominant in the lives of countless youth. He is my Christ. By Edmond H. Babbitt

Isn't it strange that princes and kings And clowns that caper in sawdust rings, And common folks like you and me Help to make up Eternity? To each is given a bag of tools, A shapeless mass and a book of rules, And each must make, ere life is Hown, A stumbling block, or a stepping-stone. We are a people of destiny- America is,God's experimental ground- The worldcan live together, for It does live together in us. -E. Stanley Jones Calm Soul of all things: make it mine To feel, amid the city's jar, That there abides a place of thine, Man did not make, and cannot mar! -Matthew Arnold. There are loyal hearts, there are spirits brave, There are souls that are pure and true, Then give to the world the best you have And the best will come back to you. -Qladeline Bridges So live that when thy summons comes to join The innumerable caravan that moves To the pale realm of shade, where each shall take His chamber in the silent hall of death, Thou go not like the quarry-slave at nite Scourged to his dungeon, But sustained and soothed By an unfaltering trust, Approach thy grave Like one who wraps the drapery of his couch about him, And lies down to pleasant dreams. ---Bryant
