P uv 'Ji' -us-va x , i . as X Foreword With our dreams turning into reality and so soon becoming memories, the Annual Staff attempts to record the ev- ents that are a part of every student's life here at Plymouth High. Our theme centers around a Calendar of Events -- the activities of the year being arranged as chronologically as possible. It is therefore, our purpose to relive this School year for the entire student body by recalling the varied activities of school life ---social, cultural, acad- emic, and recreational. Can you remember football games by a ragged pennantg can you remember that horrible English class with the short story you wrote and savedg can you remember one of the happiest years of your life? Turn the pages of this book and you will magically turn back the pages of your '58-'59 school calendar. PETER A. A big step in the right direction this year was the Big Brother Campaign or- ganized by the Student Council to acquaint new students to PHS. A veteran member of the school adopted a new student, showed him around, and in general made him feel at home. Since surveys are all the rage the Stud- ent Council remained fashionable and con- ducted a survey poll of student opinions re- garding lunches served in the school cafe- teria. The changes suggested, for the most part were put into effect. 86 Student Counctl T.. To supplement their studies on current problems, three members Rolf Dietrich, Thomas Schomberger and Peter Signorelli journeyed to Washington, D.C. for an interview with Polish Embassy officials. The trip to Hillsdale was largely financed by the local Rotary and the Student Council. Perhaps, the true significance can be summed up inwhat a member M. J.
