It is the Norse code on the conduct of life in a long narrative saga in poetic form which illustrates theViking rules of life. Expressed in the HAVAMAL are many subjects encountered in everyday lifeg such as man's happiness, the value of science, and the duty of cheer-fulness and bravery. Other ideas warn that wealth is the most unstable of friendsg that no man is without his faultsg and cautions man not to neglect his friends. We have chosen the HAVAMAL as the theme for our annual because of the historical significance and its application to modern day living.

N ,W sf' W1 W if. ,P Xwftlm 'J' xl si SQ -1 J M' w 1 E We, of the class of 1963, dedicate the Havarnal to a teacher who has been with us for four and one-half years. He has been our class advisor since our sophomore year and without his help and guidance our Junior-Senior Prom would have been impossible. The senior class would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to a wonderful teacher and a true friend by dedicating the 1963 annual to the man who has taught us our math, Mr. Jordan Holthouse. We hope that he has enjoyed our classes as much as we have. When we affection- ately call him Mucher, he takes it in good humor. He also has given us sound ad- vice in any crisis of our life. The class of 1963 wishes Mr. Holthouse continued success and all the happiness in the World because we think he deserves the best.
