It is the Norse code on the conduct of life in a long narrative saga in poetic form which illustrates theViking rules of life. Expressed in the HAVAMAL are many subjects encountered in everyday lifeg such as man's happiness, the value of science, and the duty of cheer-fulness and bravery. Other ideas warn that wealth is the most unstable of friendsg that no man is without his faultsg and cautions man not to neglect his friends. We have chosen the HAVAMAL as the theme for our annual because of the historical significance and its application to modern day living. He has been our class advisor since our sophomore year and without his help and guidance our Junior-Senior Prom would have been impossible. The senior class would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to a wonderful teacher and a true friend by dedicating the 1963 annual to the man who has taught us our math, Mr. Jordan Holthouse. We hope that he has enjoyed our classes as much as we have. When we affection- ately call him Mucher, he takes it in good humor. He also has given us sound ad- vice in any crisis of our life. The class of 1963 wishes Mr. Holthouse continued success and all the happiness in the World because we think he deserves the best. ,Lu 'xt c.! 2-.F :EJJ X gi l V 1 .6 E 'if U jf' if nd I Ilii' -hfll. lqil xxx f 'I v ir .gg fi' Q GBE 59: bi? iffwfeiy if Mrs. Norma Myers Clerk of the Board Secretary to Mr. Strohuuenger Mr. C. Playing one of the toughest schedules in Plymouth history the Big Red ended up with a 5-5 record. Under our new coach, Richard Carpenter, the squad was in excellent physical shape. The Big Red was sometimes out-muscled but was never out-hustled. The school has a right to be proud of their football team because these boys represented their school well both on and off the field. We would alsolike to congratulate the nine seniors who have played their last game for Plymouth High School. Plymouth Big Red Varsity Football Plymouth . 22 Black River . . The season opened with the team showing much promise of being a topnotch ball club. Misfortune struck the team when three first string players were injured. But in spite of these set backs the Big Red began to jell near the end of the season and won seven of their last eight ball games. The Big Red won the Richland County Tournament, a fete not accomplished by a Plymouth team in 29 years. The team losta hard fought overtime battle in the Sectional Tournament. De- spite all its hardships the basketball team of 1963, are champions in the true sense of the word.
