review the... This year Mr. Lawrence Bongiovanni be- came principal of Plymouth High School. A Plymouthian, he was graduated from this school in 1934. He received his A.B. and Ed.M. from Boston University and his M.A. from Middlebury. After Working a year on the Pembroke faculty, he was re- quested by the federal government to serve in the F .B.I. Three years later he came to the Plymouth junior High School Where he Worked as a guidance counselor and civics teacher. Mr. Bongiovanni spends his free time traveling and enjoying music. The class of 1959 wishes him continued success as principal of Plymouth High School. ,fig-0, .MX MR. LANVRENCE BONCIOVANNI A woRD FRoM ouR PRINCIPAL Twenty-five years ago the Class of ,134 presented its yearbook to the students and faculty of Plymouth High School. It is with considerable feeling that as a member of that class I extend a greeting and cordial good wishes to the Class of '59. The guest speaker at our graduation exercises thrilled us as he described the glory of climbing into the skies by Way of the Swiss Alps . . . limited horizons, indeed, for your generation which has just recently been given the World of outer space to conquer. As the faculty and I watch you go your sepa- rate ways, We do so with the hope that We have given you some measure of understanding of what lies ahead. We believe that this has been the task entrusted to us. To you our appreciation for helping us to fulfill it. We hope that our mutual association has re- sulted in a strengthening of your faith in your Cod and in our way of life. Because we cherish that association so deeply, we urge you to think kindly of us and to come back to visit when you can. The Pilgrim cordially invites you to come along with us as we scan past horizons, recollecting those moments of happiness and seriousness which have combined to make this past year a memorable one. Through the magic of the camera, perhaps you'll chuckle with us as we candidly present ourselves, complete with thumb-nail sketches. We'll meet the mighty Blue Eagles of football, basketball, baseball, and track and reminisce about such social highlights as Stardust and Cupid's Capers. Creative effort also rears its head in the field of science, which plays such an important and vital role in the world today. LAWRENCE BONGIOVANNI VVe dedicate our yearbook to Mr. Lawrence Bongiovanni, who has proved to be a valuable friend and capable principal in the short time he has been with us. His conscientious guidance and excellent example has been an inspiration to us all. The respect and confidence Mr. Bongiovanni inspired in us even when We knew him in Junior High, has grown and will continue to do so as he goes on leading us toward graduation. It is fortunate that our school is able to have the unwavering hand of Mr. Bongiovanni to govern our educational pattern.
