Counselors helped students choose schedules that would pre- pare them for what they wanted to do after graduation, voca- tional closses encouraged inter- est In their work as an occupa- tion, and college preparatory students were mode to realize that their success in higher edu- cation depended largely on what they accomplished in high school. Foced with the complexities of an ever-expanding world, many teenagers were unsure of what the future held for them. For this reason the administra- tion presented its annual Career Day. On March 6. 1969, students attended lectures in the field in which they were most interested. The speakers were mostly com- munity leaders in their respective fields.
