The Kockies next encounter was to be one of the more exciting games of the year They downed a rough Wabash team. H—7 The Kockies knew their next four games were going to mean if they were to have a successful year or not; the games were to Conference opponents Rochester. Man- chester. The uptown coaches predicted a losing season, hut the Mights Pilgrims knew otherwise. After polishing up on a new defensive attack and confusing many opponents, the Pilgrims ended the regular season with a U—6 record, and reached a goal that ten previous Pilgrim teams had strived for—the Conference Cham pionship The Ioville sectional went well until in the final game PHS was denied the crown by a close score for the second time in three years Co captains for the 1967-68 season were seniors Joe YVarnacut and Hob Kriscunas.
