Cl vs ckoo i at Plymouth, Indiana Presenting this Mayflower, the yearbook of Plymouth Lincoln High School, is the Class of 1955. OUR ADMINISTRATION OUR FRIENDS AND CLASSMATES OUR ACTIVITIES 2 OUR SPORTS OUR DEDICATION TO ARTHUR SUTER, who has made the members of the Class of 55 proud to have him as a friend and fellow classmate. He has given great inspiration and courage to all students of P. H. S. 4 OUR ADMINISTRATION Our principal, H. R. Be about, and his secretary, Edith Griswold. Our superintendent, Lyle Klitzke, and his secretaries, Evelyn Harrell and Nancy Henderson. 5 OUR ADMINISTRATION Our School Board, Howard Abbott, Merritt Skinner, and Dale McKesson. 6 Our Dean of Girls, Marjorie Campbell Our school nurse, Viola Alcock OUR FACULTY JACQUELINE BOVVER Home Economics FRANK BRANIGAN Art This is our faculty of whom we are very proud. We are greatly indebted to each member for the knowledge, learning, and under- standing which we have received during our years at Plymouth High School. These teachers have given us help and encourage- ment when it was most needed. They are always ready with good advice. To each we owe a vote of gratitude. Our school daze at P. H. S. began when we were privileged to be the first eighth grade class to use the new addition. As freshmen we looked at the upperclassmen with envy; during our sophomore year we began to take a more active part in school affairs. In our junior year we made more progress. Our officers, Bob Thompson, President; Harley Drake, Vice President; Jo Florian, Sec- retary; and Barbara Bixel, Treasurer, were elected after much campaigning. All school organizations were now open to us. We handled the concessions at the basketball games in order to give a very good prom. Our theme, Tropical Trinidad, was carried out by Jon McKesson, decoration chairman, by erecting a cafe and night club scene. This, our last year, has been our best. We elected Don Emigh, President; John Kizer, Vice President; Neil Van Der Kolk, Secretary; and Charles Jacobson, Treasurer, of our class. Our senior play Goodbye, My Fancy, under the direction of Mr. Madden, was a big success. We realize, as we complete this year, that we are leaving behind us some of the best years of our lives. We wish every future class that graduates from P. H. S. as much fun and enjoyment as we have had. 12 OUR SENIORS FOREST ALDERFER FOREST ALDERFER VarsityClub2,3,4; BasketbaU 1,2,3,4; Cross Coun- try 1,2,3,4; Track 1,2,3,4; Baseball 1.2.3.4; Moni- tor 4. We juniors are now one step nearer our goal, graduation from P.H.S. This year we have really become a part of our school. Being juniors we are eligible for many clubs and activities (such as S.S.S., Hi-Y, and Dramatics Club) which we could not join until this year. We handled the concessions at the basketball games and candy sales at noon this year in order to give the class of '55 the best prom ever. To guide us through our junior year, Mrs. Phillips, Miss Eash, Mr. Branigan, Mr. Madden, and Mr. Scherrer were our sponsors. After much campaigning with posters and slogans, we elected Lewis Gurthet, president; Paul Marks, vice-president; Chris- tine Emigh, secretary; and Stanley Bradley, treasurer, our class officers. Everything considered, we have had a good year as juniors of P.H.S. We wish the graduating class good luck, and hope we can enjoy a year as good as theirs. 30 OUR JUNIORS First Row: Rosa Lee Albrecht, Douglas Albright.
