IX The Class of 1985 bids Mr. William Gault, the Assis- tant Superintendent who retired in June of 1984, a sad farewell. Mr. Gault, whose participation in the Plymouth-Carver school system began as an English teacher in 1942, greatly influenced the way Plymouth- Carver High School has progressed. His involvement in our lives as Assistant Superintendent was greatly ap- preciated. His dedication and supervision in the opera- tions of Plymouth-Carver High school will be missed. . FAFREWELL Harold Hank Rogers, Chairman of the Physical Education Department, will be retiring this year after 35 years at Plymouth-Carver Regional High School. Mr. Rogers received the Oswald Tower Award for Sports- manship presented to him by the Referees' Association. This award symbolizes everything Mr. Rogers stands for. Mr. Rogers coached track for 20 years, cross-country for 22 years and the record-setting basketball team of P-C from 1951-1976. He's a man who believes that discipline is the refining fire by which talent becomes ability. Weill miss him, and he bids us goodbye with this quote: It may not be the only reason, but there's no de- nying that one who is physically fit will lead a happier life. -Wi! The Class of 1985 would like to bid a very special farewell to Mr. Paul Fleming, our former Vice-Principal. Mr. Fleming was a close, personal friend to many of us, and he will be missed immensely for his guidance and in- spiration. The Class of 1985 wishes Mr. Fleming the best of luck in his future endeavors.

I charge the Class of 1985 with the responsibility of 'being the best that you can be' in all future endeavors. It is your civic and moral obligation as an individual to be a contributing member of society. Through your community involvement, you can return that which has been provided to you. I sincerely wish health and prosperity to all of you. Brian Abdallah Educate: to develop mentally and morally . . . Webster's definition of educate implies a process that transcends formal schooling and is lifelong in nature. Hopefully, the Plymouth-Carver Regional Schools have assisted the Class of 1985 in learning how to learn as you assume responsible roles in our society. It is a distinct pleasure and honor to be fortunate enough to be able to be associated with you in the process known as education. Bernard Sidman
