X, Dm 0 ,XY -is Field Hockey The field hockey team, under the fine coaching of Miss Nancy lVlurt MacDuffee had an outstanding winning season this year. Being a new inexperienced y varsity team, their ambition and desire to win proved l to be a great asset to them. Their record, 8 wins, 1 loss, and 3 ties gave the varsity girls a divisional champion- ship and sent them into the playoffs against Hingham. At the play-offs, P-C was defeated by a score of 3-O in a well fought, evenly matched hockey game. The Junior Varsity had a very successful season also, having a record of 5 wins, 4 ties, and 3 losses with many of the girls showing great potential for future varsity teams. l Varsity Record P-C . . . 3 Scituate ..... . . 2 P-C . . . 2 Rockland . . . .0 P-C . . . 2 Silver Lake ...... . . 1 P-C . . . 0 Middleboro ....... . . 0 P-C. . . 1 Bridgewater-Raynham . . . .1 P-C . . . 0 Hingham ....... . . 4 P-C...3 Abington ..... . . 1 P-C - - - 1 Whitman-Hanson . . . . 0 P-C . . . 2 Middleboro ...... . . 0 P-C . . . 1 Silver-Lake .... .. . . . . 0 P-C. . .2 Bridgewater-Raynham . . . . 0 P-C . . . 0 Hingham ....... . . 31' 'lChampionship gamel J.V. The Eagles jumped off to a fast 6-O record, yet lack of Varsity experience was the story in the remaining 12 games, Plymouth falling to a 5-7 record. We the editors of the 1972 Pilgrim do sincerely thank the following people who have given us valuable assistance and knowledge in our efforts to create this yearbook. Delmar Printing Company, for being so patient with us as we never made a deadline on time. Mr. Robert Vantine, our representative from Delmar Printing Company, for his advice and assistance. Vantines, our photographers for their services that are beyond our most chosen words of praise. Mr. Perrin Hughes and Miss Gwenn Seaver, our advisors, for their advice. AI Thompson and Mr. Tommie Walker, who contributed all the excellent pictures that this yearbook could not have done without. Editors of the staffs, who co-operated and worked efficiently in helping us. The few seniors, that came nights to help us when the yearbook was behind. Friends, sponsors, and advertisers, without whose support and confidence. we could never have achieved our goal. Cathy Atti Brenda McCarthy ly I I H , l I , 1 . .
