Eagles Fought Hard In Spite of Defeat Led by Tri-Captains David Whiting, George Martin, and Ronald Silva the Plymouth-Carver Blue Eagles fell victims of a luckless 0-8-1 season. P-C's best game was against our Turkey Day rivals, Silver Lake. Although Silver Lake prevailed 19-14, Plymouth- Carver led throughout most of the game, Ronnie Silva threw two touchdown passes and Joe Balboni added two conversions in the loss. Although P-C put up a good fight during the season against Rockland and Middleboro, they could not capitalize on the scoring plays. The highlights of the season were the fine plays of quarterback Ronnie Silva and fullback Mark Silva. Three freshmen Jay Fernandez, Mark Banker, and Brian Axon added hope for the future by making varsity. Even though it was a poor season the Blue Eagles were carried through by their undying spirit. Soccer has finally come into its own at Plymouth-Carver High. Going into its fourth sea- son P-C had notched one one and one tie in three years. But this was the year P-C opened the year by exploding on Norwell Q5-25, to double their victory total. P-C also notched Q3-OJ Wins over Franklin and Avon and beat Sharon Q4-OJ and South Shore Voc. Q2-ll. Going into Scituate P-C had a five Win - five loss record and a chance for its first Winning season. Then the seemingly impossible happened. P-C scored twice in the first half and twice in the second half to beat Scituate Q4-21 and in so doing, secured its first winning season. All of the play- ers would like to express their gratitude to Mr. Ward without whom a Winning season couldn't have been possible. Our Mascot? Aw c'mon, you can't all get in the picture! Behind the consistent scoring of the forward line, the girls scored 29 goals, while their opponents were able to score only 8 goals against P.C.'s stubborn defense. The girls finished in second place with 7 wins, 3 losses, and 2 ties. The Junior Varsity, under the coaching of Miss Janet Drury, finished the season with 3 Wins, 3 losses, and 6 ties. Rap was designed to plumb the depths of student uncertainties in order to enable the youths to act in a society different from those in the past. For the second year in a row Race Relations and f'Today's Hangupsn were the most popular seminars. The two keynoters, Brooks Johnson and Basillia Neilson were a great success. Many different questions were posed. Rap was a Wonderful op- portunity to motivate thinking and to search for many hidden answers. Thanks to the help of the School Committee, and our own Mrs. Urann, Operation: Rap was a huge success. .,imfI'Cflf fEH ' l wduaSCHO0L rpfnmon RAP 8AM JAN 25 26 . - J 1, Q--1 A i I .gl 'fungi I Buz puts it all together i7 ' - ' Q 'hs'-.. -4, ey. ,, , , lf-t J ,ff ff OVW ,,ilsE ' You got a problem kid?
