Fall brings with her the beginning of the school year. No longer are afternoons spent at the beach. Now, we must buckle down to our studies, leaving our afternoons for after school jobs and not for wading in the cool, clear water. We fancy ourselves reliving the past summer, when suddenly the sharp autumn wind calls us back to reality. Around us, the arches ofgold, red, and orange are paying homage to such a royal season. Our daydreams come to an end. Time must be spent on studies and on after school activities. Our football team must be the best. Our Student Council must act wisely. And Lil'Abner must be a success We begin our Senior year with mbced emotions of joy and Sorrow. I l n FAI.l if x ' Q' X ff l ,f xg i N:

A season filed with moments 0 glory Plymouth-Carver started its season by losing to Bridgewater-Raynham, but bounced back with a 28-13 win over Rockland in which Frank Barros scored two touchdowns. A rock-hard defense was the deciding factor in P-C's second victory over Middleboro. However, the remaining games seemed to keep slipping out of the Eaglels wings. Both teams were held scoreless, but Whitman-Hanson came alive in the fourth quarter to blank the Eagles l2a0. After being defeated by Abington, which saw Bill Cappella run back back a kickoff for 101 yards for a TD, P-C had three of its punts blocked aiding Hingham to 34A-6 win. P-C continued its losing ways by dropping the next two to Randolph and Scituate. Head Coach joe DeSisto Coaches: Frank Andersong Henry Cryer: joseph DeSistog and William Nagle. Although it was another loss, P-C sparkled on Thanksgiving Day, bettering Silver Lake in yards gained rushing, and also picking off three intercep- tions. Outstanding in the game was john Silva who completed 6 of I4 passes. On defense Paul Palavan- chi, john Youngman, and Steve Dias were brilliant in overtaking TD minded Silver Lake runners. A good I'-C front line rush was the prime factor in Paul Correa's touchdown interception in the second quar- ter. Frank Barros must be honored for his O0 yard TD K run of the third period, only two plays after Silver Lake had kicked off to P-C. . The final score, 256-20, was in reality a moral victory. For the Lakers had never expected such a spirited fight from the P-C boys. Don t dance with him' Tackle him' 28
