DEDICATIO Perhaps Mr. Rogers' uncompromising spirit in the faee of challenge is what we value most about him: his tremendous faith in his teams and in himself. 'l'herefore, because we respeet and love Mr. llarold liogers, we dedieate The Pilgrim to a talented coach, a fine instructor, and a gracious gentle- man. ln all of us he has instilled his love for sports, espeeially basketball. lrle has shown us how to gain the joys of victory, and even more important, how to accept the pangs ofdefeat. When all is kept in perspeetive, Mr. llogers has taught that much is gained from both experiences. After our defeat in Rockland, Mr. Rogers clearly demon- strated those qualities which make him so mueh of a man when he said, 'QAII we can do now is to pick ourselves oft' the floor and start againfi That spirit has been the generator of countless champion- ship basketball teams and the guideline forhundreds of young men struggling to manhood. Some thoughts from the Editors . With great pleasure, We presentsthe 1969 edition of the Pilgrim. Our effort has been one of enthusiasm and enjoyment. Our ideas are intended to be a reflection of the times we live in, and our purpose is to show the spirit of the student body, the memories of a senior class, and the results of students working together in producing a yearbook. ln these pages, we have tried to record a most precious year in high school. We have made an effort to bring past , . memories to life again. Through this book, we hope that we have been able to surprise some and create a smile for others. We have enjoyed producing this yearbook. ln seeing our efforts finally produced here, we receive a great amount of satisfaction. ln turn, We hope that the l969 Pilgrim will bring satisfaction to you, and that this yearbook will be considered your work as well as ours.
