SOPHOMORE CLASS HISTORY Class Colors: Green and White Class Motto: Nothing tried, nothing gained. Class Flower: White carnation We started our high school years with a frosh class of 21. There were eight girls and thirteen boys. Our fresh- man class officers were Helen Place-President, Bob Kammerzell- Vice President, Ronald Willard-Secretary and Joan Beals-Treas. We were initiated and given a party by the sopho- mores. We returned the party the night of initiation. Our candidates for carnival queen and king were Helen Place and John Fehrs. When we enrolled as sophomores we had nineteen. Thelma Hill and Wes Withers dropped. Two classmates were un- able to attend school because of illness. They were John Fehrs and Leon Berreth. This was our year to initiate and that we did. It was a lot of fun but we did a good turn in giving the poor frosh a party. Class members who participated in sport activities were Jerry Dyer, Ronald Willard, Clarence Haeg, Richard Soper, Clyde Long, David Dittberner, Shirley Norton, Rose Woodruff, Geraldine Marsh and Lavonne Loe. Class officers were as follows: Ronald Willard- President, Joan Beals-Vice President, Geraldine Marsh-Secre- tary, Bob Kam erzell-Treasurer. Mr. Melvin was our advisor.
