. 4 Foreword The staff gives to all its schoolmates, teachers, and friends, this, the 1952 Criterion. The theme is words and pictures-a factual and straight-forward recording of the most eventful and important years of your lives. In the following pages we hope to credit properly those who have contributed so much to what you are and what you have accomplished in this year at Plum High. There were times when the long assignments and what some thought, rather severe discipline caused many gripes. But, long after they are forgotten, you will remember with pleasure and appreciation the activities you took part in, the teachers and administration, and the hundred and one little incidents that were so numerous to us at that time of our lives. l 1... A Dedzkation We, the Senior Class of Plum Twp. High School, wish to express our sincerest congrat- ulations to the football team of 1951-the best Plum has ever had. Throughout the many years, it has seemed as though our football team had somehow failed us. Many times we had the spirit but not the equip- ment, many times a spark was temporarily ignited but would eventually flicker and die. Never until last year when Plum had won the Section I Championship did our dream of a winning team come true. However, this year our happiness was even more complete, for after winning the Section I honors, Plum, on a cold November night midst tenseness and cheering, defeated Aspinwall for the Al- legheny Kiski Valley Championship. After that fateful game, the boys with proud and happy hearts carried Mr. Rometo from the field. To all of us, that was the most memorable evening we'd ever experienced. To Plum it signified an excellent record- the first of its kind in Plum Hi history. The faculty, administration, and the student body are proud of our football team because through it all, they have remained loyal, worked hard, and were always good sports. They have shown us that Plum Hi can and will remain unexcelled in its various Fields. -4-
