Y A M E N l l N If you were to project yourself to the year 1985, you will iind the Class of 1960 holding their 25th reunion. My how times have changed. Departing for this big event from the Plum City area are MR, and MRS. PHILIP TSCHUMPERLIN nee NANCY HOFMEISTER on a world submarine cruise. This is to be the first submarine to go around the world on a social visit and 32 people will enjoy the friendship of old. Stopping at the place of renown, Plum City high School, they visit with MR. LINDHOLM, principal and staff, under the television series of education. Now you stay at home and enjoy your 3 R's via the channel selector. You are required to attend your graduation and class trip under the education set up, Washington, D. C. is the next stop on the agenda to get the visa and shots necessary to undergo this venture. At our nation's capitol, they find that DOUG FOX is the head of the secret service and pay a call upon him. DOUG was a class- mate until he left for Pepin to graduate. With all papers in order they depart for the home port of their submarine New York City. At the port of embarkation, they see the Sub Ajax . Could that be the home of MR, and MRS. MIKE WISKERCHEN nee LINDA SEIPEL who were classmates of theirs. A visit and tour of the sub confirms their idea. Yes, this is the homo of tho of the Class and a floating farmc MIKE and LINDA tell them to visit ORVILLE KLOKE at his farm in Iceland where he grows icicles. So the first port of visit is to call on ORVILLE. Here they find that ORVILLE has the only icicle farm. hhat a monopoly he hasl Leaving Iceland departing for a visit to London they are picked up for a diving charge. The officer in charge of arrest is GENE HEI the outstanding water policeman of 1985. GENE asks where they are bound and is told London. A fellow class mate of theirs is there. So paying for the diving fine they depart to visit with HAYNE HOLMSTADT and his band of oscillations which has taken England by storm, Wayne greets them at the port. A tour of the city of London and then a departure to Rome. A speeding ticket hauls them into court and the tall, elderly judge reminds them of JERRY WALDVOGEL a fellow graduate. Sure enough, that is who it is. JERRY has been at Oran, Africa for ten years holding court. JERRY gives them a tour of the Hdark continentu and tells them to call on MARY ANN HOPHAN in Rome. Leaving Oran and short journey brings them into Rome. Everyone knows MARY ANN as she is the head mistress of all schools of Europe. MARY ANN gives them a sight seeing tour of the eternal city. Leaving Rome they decide to visit Istanbul as long as they are this close. Endering port they sight the sign - LARRY GILBERT3ON'3 One Man Sub Garage. Yes, this is the blonde boy of their class. LARRY takes them to the Black Sea for a rest and they meet DAVID KANNEL who is the head basketball coach at the University of Moscow. DAVE team winning the world championship until they were to LARRY with Port Said and a visit to CAROL GILLES CAROL had house guests - those famous space sisters has had outstanding success with his barred from competition. A good-bye who has a dancing school for mermaids. - JEAN and JOAN DONNELLY - so the re- union of graduates is gaining momentum. The TWINS have been everywhere in outer space. In fact, they even go below the surface on their first submarine ride the length of the Red Sea. and her them to is here CAROL informs them that they must stop at Karachi and see BETTY SCH ADWEILER family. All provisioned up and good-byes to our friends at Port Said brings Karachi in time to see ZELDA ANDERSON who is visiting at BETTY'S house. ZELDA because of health as the climate in Nome did anon her coming here. Their con- versation centers about other members of the class and rumor has it that ARTHUR RITCHIE is in Durban manufacturing durbans. So the wanderers depart from BETTY and ZELDA to seek ART and his durbans. ART not only makes durbans but wears them. He takes them in his plane for a visit to EDDIE KING who is in Capetown mining for Gillette hoping to find the strong steel necessary to cut his beard. EDDIE has been all over the surface of the earth hoping to find the mineral for a clean shave. A most wonderful stay and then back to Durban to depart for short visit to Melbourne. To the surprise of our travellers they find HERBERT METCALF here. His position is the head coach of the University of Australia. Yes, he still wears helmet number 13 and what success he has had Never tasted the bitters of defeat. HERBIE states that he heard from BRENDA HAGLUND. She resides in Manila where she makes vanilla. So the sub now steams towards Manila. Now easy it was to find BRENDA as she owns the whole city. A fine visit of the island and then on to the next port. That is he is shanghaied to his wife. ROY as he owns the wall of China. ROY ance at Tokyo who is JOHN KRINGS. of Japan. What a party he gives to visit with ROY GIESEKER who is in Shanghai where the most prominent business men in China that they must see the Professor of Fin- to Japan broke and now runs all the banks guests. The next port of call is Hawaii is one of told them JOHN came our honored to greet the Madam Governor, MISS LA VONNE LARSON. At Hilo they are given the red carpet and all the treatment accorded it. LA VONNE informs them about two others in the class - JEAN and HAROLD KROGSTAD. Leaving GOVERNOR LARSON they depart for ANTARCTIC - the home of KROGSTADS. Arriving ice and irrigate the rest of the easy way! While here an epistle They arrive at Valparaiso to the to land the biggest plane in the may anchor. BOB informs them of here they find that JEAN and HAROLD have melted all the our world. Boy have some of our people made it the arrives inviting them to stop and see ROBERT RISLER. the RISLER mine. What a chateau he has. Long enough world and extends into the sea so that the largest ship his neighbor to the north, KENNY FREDRICKSON. KENNY lives in Lima which is the next stop for our r0amers. At Lima they find KENNY and here is another successful member of the class. KENNY has crossed the Jumping and Lima bean and has the whole world jumping. From KENNY they learn of his sister, MARY ELLEN, who has purchased the Panama Canal and runs that as a hobby. Arriving at the Canal, they meet with MARY ELLEN and tour the 'big ditch.H From Panama it is a trip to the west coast of California to visit with JACKIE HARMON and her cheerleading college. JACKIE'S home is in Hollywood where she has purchased the former MG movie lot. Here they learn of DIANNE KAEMPF and her residence. She is in New Orleans and a HSouthern Belleu of one of the parishes of the great south. The sub greets DIANNE with a short blast to announce the arrival of her guests. As conversation leads to the class mates of l96O,the unaccounted one is PHYLLIS HAM EL. Last heard from DIANNE states is that she was at Maiden Rock which is the river port of Plu City. NANCY and PHIL did not know that so they deceided to gamble and see if PHYLLIS is still there. On arrival they find the missing one and the journey is now complete. Yes, 28,000 miles and 32 classmates all accounted with a trip that will never be forgotten. 5x 7 Q37 lr 4 9 Q If sv xg 4 lflll UMM W x f f WW ASS POEM CF I96O Now listen my people while we shout from all the steeples.
