The 1983 Treasure Chest Is Dedicated To Mr. Gackle Twenty seven years ago A man had come to teach. He enjoyed his new assignment All the young minds he could reach. He specialized in Science As read his classroom door. And he came to teach at P.H.S. As no other had taught before. He opened the Science world to us And in our young minds he did sow The seeds of learning all he taught To help us all mature and grow. Still going strong today At the same place he got his start, He helped to build our character Made us think and made us smart. Remembering a riddle — A favorite of his, we’ve known It showed his sense of humor And made his students groan. How do you get an Appalosa? Mr. Gackle, we remember, see — All you have to do is Shaka - the - tree. So for all the Biology we learned from you And Chemistry formulas we did tackle, Here’s to our friend and respected teacher Here’s to Harold Gackle. 6
