Stairway to Heaven The 1976 Christmas Ball was held on December 28th in the Plentywood Fieldhouse. Fifty-two couples attended the annual event. As the evening progressed and the ex- citement mounted, Larry Berland and Debbie Benson were announced as King and Queen of the Ball. King Larry and Queen Debbie led the Grand March to the song Stairway to Heaven. The music was provided by the band Smooth Move. After the dance, the festivities continued as the couples attended the show, The Great Scout and Cathouse Thursday. A few of the more energetic couples also had breakfast at the various cafes in town. 1. Maybe if I keep on smiling my crown won't fall off. 2. It's only 10:00! I don't know if I'll survive. 28
