Vacation is here at last! It has been quite a year, indeed. We were the district champs in football and basketball. We went to state for both events and the cheerleaders brought home the cheerleading trophy. The pep band and the speech team went to state, also. Mr. Grier introduced wrestling into our school and it proved to be a great sport. The junior class and the senior class put on two separate plays, which were huge successes. The girls of Plentywood High School were allowed to wear dress slacks to school this year. Students from Plentywood High School volunteered to pick up trash on high- ways and roads on Earth Day, which turned out very successful. Also, the Music Festival was held and many students received certificates for superior ratings. A new addition to Plentywood High School is The National Honor Society. Coach Ternes was announced Class B Track Coach of the year for 1971. Both girls' and boys' track teams had a very good year. The mighty seniors won in the float competition this year and achieved many high scholastic abilities. Our thanks goes to Mrs. Kuhl for giving us all the help we needed so we could get the school paper out at the end of each month. 8
