Class Prophecy Here we are back in A.C. It's 1990 and the class of 1970 is here for their class reunion. The sky is clear, and it is a great day for a barbecue. It does look a little windy, but I really doubt that they will notice the wind. I see Brutus Chandler rushing around the yard. He seems to have gone wild barbecuing those steaks . He not only cooks them, but he cuts them and feeds them to you too. Besides being known as CHAM- PION CHEF, he won the Fat Man of the Year contest. As usual, Mark's right hand man Fergie is right there beside him. Fergie has a successful business smuggling across the border, and as a sideline he runs the Blue Sun. Yes, quite a few of the class of '70 have taken over the businesses in A.C. Ross and Russ have taken over the Bort Pig and keep close competition with Dale Nelson, Gaylen Waller and Wayne Knudsvig who own Roy's, now known as the Mod Market. Face owns Bud's and Joanne, Jan and Bun work for her. They've changed the name to Greasers' Inc., however. Moofer and Mark Hibbert work as cooks there. Smurphy runs the bowling alley and brbysits in his spare time. He says that he had a lot of practice in his high school days. Cindy has taken over the Bakery and takes care of her Baker's dozen little Bakers in her spare time. Good old Cindy seems to have her hands full of little Bakers. Jackie Coghlan and Glen Carlson have taken over the Veterinary Clinic. Glen performs the operations and Jackie gets sick. Eileen Kelm now owns the Beauty Clinic. She has an added attraction in her shop. Elaine Adams gives daily lectures on how to lose weight. Julie now runs the U.B. C. With a little help from Ross she has a thriving business. Mari Marsh has taken over the Mari Queen, formerly known as the Benny Queen. Her specialty? Free Food!!! Mari informed me that she is never without her pliers. She says that you never know when they might come in handy. Eddy Shacklefoldingchair and his little brother have gone into the business of entertaining people on their little Honda. They have however graduated to a bigger model. Now they have a Honda 65. John Linder has taken over the A.C. Herald. He features Johnny Kemp as his sports editor. Johnny rides from town to town on his Honda and gathers all the latest sports news. The A.C. Herald also features a column by Karen Clawson, known as What a Ticker! Gowy now runs a used car lot. He runs his cars for three weeks and sells them. 17 Ronnie Grove has become a minister. He preaches on the dangers of being a sinner.

G.I., Mark McCoy, Ed Nyby, Randy Blair, David Midby and Humper Rierson haven't let their class down. They managed to get a parole to attend their class reunion. They are being guarded by Sheriff Rick Medders and his wife Donna. Rick and Donna now have 15 kids and want 15 more. Also Donna owns the highway between here and Sheriff Medder's farm. Deb Hurlbert, Carol Beckers, Flora Bykonen and Lillian Taylor have all been married for 20 years. When asked how they liked married life they all agreed, It's fun for the first week. Pam Flowers has written a book entitled, HOW TO KEEP YOUR NOSE IN OTHER PEOPLE'S BUSINESS.” As usual Tim is right there next to her, waiting for her to snap her fingers so he can jump. Tim is getting pretty good at jumping. He's a professional basketball player and has out jumped every player he has been up against. As they say, Practice makes perfect. Margaret Goff and Christine Anseth have also written a book. It's title: HOW TO GO THROUGH 12 YEARS OF SCHOOL WITHOUT SAY- ING A WORD. Ole is doing research on a book that he is writing. His book is entitled, THE DANGERS OF BEING FREAKY. Rod and Deb are married and work for Val Morstad on her Angus farm. Those three are quite the farmers. Kathy Lucas and Teresa Collier are employed as secretaries in Helena. Linda Lindell King is Queen of King's Hill. Karen Ator has set up a Health Clinic up on the hill and has employed Caroline Lee as her private secretary. Lois Goetzinger has taken over Sylvia's job down in the office. She is secretary to Superintendent Crog Timmerman. Also employed at the school are Frank French who is principal of the grade school, and Dean Evenson, who inherited his mother's job as head cook. Larry Frederick is our new Vo-ag teacher and Arne Granvold is the new handyman around the school. Dorothy Smith and Edna Graham are the band directors. They both say that they can't get along without each other. Wayne Everson is still in love. He walks around without a puzzled look on his face. Could it be that he hasn't figured out who with? Suddenly a gust of wind blows over our barbecue and all of the class of 1970 disappear. But don’t worry. They'll be back for their next reunion- if they live that long.
