The Jr. Class float was named the winner. Thursday night’s activities included a mass pep rally in the gym and traditional bonfire. Friday night’s Homecoming game was followed by a dance at which Nina Paulson was crowned Queen of Homecom- ing. Miss Nina Paulson Jr. Class Play This year’s Junior Class presented the comedy The Mouse That Roared. It was a humorous satire about the United States losing a war to a tiny unheard of country. The play was directed by Mr. Darrel Gus- tin. Sr. Class Play The Senior Class presented the play Hotel on December 9, 1965. Hotel was a play showing the various problems of a hotel manager and the various guests at the hotel. The play was directed by Mr. Darrel Gustin. Initiation Seventy-four freshmen were ini- tiated by the sophomore class on Friday, October 8, 1965. The Greenhorns entertained the upperclassmen by singing songs, shaving legs, eating pies, and per- forming other various stunts. QUEEN NINA AND KING HARRY The annual Junior-Senior Prom was held on April 23 in the multi-purpose room. The Prom, which had a Hawaiian theme, was preceded by the Junior-Senior Banquet. Harry Haroldson and Nina Paulson were crowned King and Queen of the Prom. Special Days Boy Hate Girl Day Steve Morstad Named Most Loved Boy of “66” Steve and his natural surroundings — girls!! Linda Larsen models her Clash Day creation. 78 Slop Day Librarians GREG COGLAN DENNIS GROSS DIANA BROWN SHARON GRANNING Boys’ State Delegates: GARY PEDERSON AND BOB HOLJE Students Win Honors and Awards Rosann Frasier received the Betty Crocker Award. Gary Pederson is up in the air about receiving both the John Phi- lip Sousa Award for band and the Arion Award for chorus. Sharon Granning was one of thirty-five 4-H’ers chosen to go to Europe. Sharon was also the win- ner of the Goldie Adams Home- making Scholarship. Sally Janssen placed first in the State Wool Con- test and third in the National Wool Contest.
