Cfi SS RtOpfi Cy The year is 1984. The place is Plentywood Metropolitan Education Complex - PHS is no more - they seem to have consolidated. Time - 8 p.m. The world is waiting, waiting for what? For the Plentywood Class of 1966 to start its class reunion, of course. The band has just struck up Hail to the Chief and here comes Sam Kitzenberg, the master of ceremonies. He's President now - God save the nation. Following Sam is Doug Johnston, the local veterinarian with his prize-winning Saint Bernard, Broo-no. There's Patty Kaip, the famed English Channel swimmer. Patty told me that she never could have made it without chemistry lab - where she adapted very well to water. Right, Harry? Connie King, better known as Queen of the road, is now secretary of You Wreck It, We'll Fix It Inc. Here comes Nadean Blair. She's a tourist guide at Raymond National Park. Oh, I see Sherry Grove, the director and star of the Oscar-winning movie, My Brother Was An Only Child, Wow! There's Audrey Evenson in her solid gold Cadillac. I hear she took over the Five- and-Ten. Another small group has just come in. It's the members of the class who have become writers. Senior English seems to have had its influence!! Coming in first is Dave Fulkerson, the friendly mortician. He has just completed the popular book - Embalming Can be Fun. Shirley Adams has revealed her trade secrets in her book, How to Type Sixty Words a Minute without Erasing. Marcia Kisler has written the recent best seller, Do Blondes Have More Fun? Frea Darland has written a book which seems to be especially popular among teenagers: How to Lose the Cop in One Easy Curve. Susan Janssen has written Interior Decorating Made Easy in 7643 Easy Steps. Dick Hass has finally reached his goal as an actor. He's the White Knight for the Ajax Company. Sauntering in now is Dennis Lee. Dennis has decided to become a private eye now that he has located his top coat and glasses which he misplaced on New Year's Eve. There's Jeffrey Morrison, our used car dealer. However, he hasn't had much success. It seems that the only used car he’s been able to sell is the one Paul Enstad is driving. Oh, there's Mary Ann Nelson, the local Honda dealer, talking shop with Jeff. Oh, here come the winners of the Housewife of America Contest - Virginia Willard and Ardeth Syme. It looks like they left the kids at home with all the prize money. I wonder who the lucky baby sitter is. Bouncing in now is Terry Kanning who is the owner of a huge fish market - Kanning's Cannery. Jim Lindberg and Linda Rasmussen are just arriving. Linda - better known as Grindl - is the world's only one-leg- ged sidewalk surfer. Berg, along with his associate Dan Severson, has become a professional hair dresser. I've just noticed that there's a very confused, red-faced radio announcer covering the reunion. Oh, excuse me, I guess it's Norman Wold. Over talking to Sam is Steve Sem, Plentywood’s Paul Revere. It seems Steve has given up lamps for Morse Code. Right, Harry? Gary Timmerman, now a plumber, has finally arrived. He had a little trouble - someone pulled the plug in the swimming pool. Shelly Gysler-er-excuse me, I mean General Gysler has just entered. Shelly has gone a long ways since entering the ANC after graduation. Look who just bounced in in a red and white gym suit. It's Louella Graham - Plentywood's energetic phy-ed teacher. Billy Juve has also arrived. It seems he got so much experience driving other people's cars that he's started the Jilly Buve Chauffeur Company. He's known as Wild Bill the Chauffeur. Another very talented group is now coming in. The fashionable looking girl in the blue suit is Vicki Bussinger, the nation's top fashion model. Beside her is Dorothy Anno, Plentywood's dedicated first-grade teacher. Standing next to Dorothy is Mary Paulbeck, the successful marriage counselor. And finally next to Mary is Marsha McLean who is now a top foreign correspondent. She speaks 350 languages fluently, including Pig Latin. Also coming in now are Kea Holte and Jean Ness. Kea is a nurse now and is known by her closer patients as Tinkle the Nursemaid. You're probably wondering what Jean Ness Does now. Well, I asked her and she told me her group has 21°Io fewer cavities. Jim McNulty, better known as M-a-a-a-c, is here too. Jim has taken up retirement as a career. There's Dennis Niehuus. He has just put out a new breakfast cereal called Snuff’s Puffs. Everybody likes them because they Snaff, Crackle, and Pops. Here comes the nation’s top atomic physicist, Harold Krogstad, with his able assistant, Norman Lee. They have just developed the world's only nuclear-powered tricycle. I've just noticed Randy Popescu. He's currently billed at the Dingley Brothers Circus as the world’s tallest midget. Apparently, they don't know about his elevated shoes. Everyone seems to be waiting for the entertainment. Oh, it seems to be starting now. All eyes are on Marilynn Cybulski - she's a professional dancer now. Carmen DeSilva, world famous clarinetist, is next on the entertainment. Carmen modified an organ grinder act to consist of a clarinet player and a monkey. It became quite popular until she had a fight with her monkey and he ran away to join the Dingley Brothers Circus. Here come a few late ones. Oh, there's Pat McLinden, the famous motorcycler. He just recently returned from Mt. Everest, where he won the international hill climb, on his superhawk. There is Linda Lagerquist, the famous nurse, and mother of five Liberaces. Lydia Tande, local lawyer of Tande, Tande, Tande and Lyd, nas just sued the mayor for insufficient allowance. Janet Midby, the local optometrist, has designed glasses guaranteed not to fall off while looking out of an eleven story building. Clarice Jean Waller is now the proud proprietor ol the Merry Merry Dairy Queen. There's Keith Knudsvig talking to Jim Wankel. Keith is coach of the Plentywood Wildcats, and it seems they've re- arranged the schedule to play Baker 10 times a year. Jim, the famed architect, has, much to the dismay of the fac- ulty, converted the PHS gym into a Geisha House. Well, now that you're acquainted with everybody, just sit back and relax and enjoy this wonderful, marvelous, great, talented, successful class. Right, Harry? 29
