Scmor Class HISIOIY Cconrmufrd Durlng our flfth year we yvere st1ll golng strong Our supervlsor was MISS Ruth Hardm fShoopJ We added three new students They were Mary Presley Elsle W1lk1nson and Chfton Steele Stlll stepplng up we were 1n our slxth year of school M1ss Ruth Smlth trled to keep us calm as we were exclted about th1s belng our last year ln the grade bu1ld1ng We added one new member she was Nadene Forst Now we yyere 1njun1or hlgh seventh graders Hoyy proud yve were' We moyed oyer to the hlgh school bu1ld1ng and settled doyyn for s1x more years of school llfe To gulde us through that first year among upper classmen was M1ss Bertha Davldson FIVC new students were added They were Harr1et Hughs Jerry Heck Dorothy Janes Marilyn Rundall and Rlchard Veak Our exghth grade under the guldance of MISS Bertha Dayldson was a pros perous one We knew that we were golng to have to start to adjust ourselves to better behavlor we were to enter h1gh school next year As we entered the bu1ld1ng 1n September 1947 yye 1eal1zed that the most of our fun was gone or was It just beg1nn1ng'7 Anyyvay thlngs werent dull There were several 3Ct1V1t16S to partlclpate 1n such as basketball football school danc es and partles We had one week of mlsery that year lt was our 1n1t1at1on Boy we couldnt Walt unt1l We were sophlstlcated sophomores so we could 1n1t1ate the freen freshmen All 1n all It wasnt too bad though That year brought us three new members Thev were Ruth Bennett Betty Orr and Jack Holland Durlng our tenth year the students from Swan were transferred to our school A majorlty of our addltlons were from there The new members were Rlchard Gordon Rlchard Cremer Elsle Hunt Lawrence Hunt Jeannette Mesecher Mary Sue Shlpman and Helen Wheeldon Oh ves yve really got those green freshmen too As we entered the hlgh school buxldlng the next fall we reahzed that half of our hlgh school days were gone We dldnt know what that year would brlng us but we were gomg to go lnto It wlth falth ln ourselves Ruth Parmer and W1ll1am Gerlmg came 1nto our class that year We wltnessed the graduatlon of the senlors of 1950 and wished that we were among them but we had to walt our turn September 6 1950 found 20 semors rather dlgmfied semors too back ln our school blllldlllg How we had longed for thls year We reahzed that thls year would really be worth whlle lf we put our mlnd to It The semor omcers are as follows Presldent Blll Black Vlce President Betty Orr Secretary and Treasurer Anna Jean McCann It IS needless to mentlon all the partles that we held but It mlght be added that we enjoyed them all and surely none of us w1ll ever forget them Indeed the class of 1951 has many commendable qualxtles but above all we surpass fwe thmkj m the subject we call STUDY As we look back over our four years yve feel a sort of sadness for we now realize all the good txmes we have had We regret leavmg them behmd but that IS partlally made up by the joy of graduatlon of gettmg out mto the world and showmg that we can accompllsh things 1n the same way that we d1d m our school days of yore Wlth a last salute to our supermtendent to our teachers and to our classmates yve say Au Revlor Page Nme . 1 , D , Y . . .
