N EMORIA Our teacher, our guide, and our friend-Obed Ely was all these and more. His wisdom, his encouragement, his wit, and his infectious laugh endeared him to us. We held the highest respect for this man who iniiuenced us so deeply, as tutor and teacher in math, helper in French, and advisor in GO. Above all, we will remember Mr. Ely for the friendship he gave us. He offered his counsel generously for our troubles in our personal lives and in school. Our problems and thoughts con- cerned him as much as his own. We wish sin- cerely to pay tribute to this beloved man whose ebullient spirit touched our lives with richness and with joy.

When We entered high school, we met you in the annex. The excitement you felt for your subject made learning much easier. Your jaunty stride and friendly grin became a familiar sight to all of us. When you moved to the science wing, you put the same zest and organization into your new subject. We appreciate the attention and interest you have shown each of us as individuals.
