One of the most efficient and outstanding organ- izations of Pleasantville High School is its Coun- cil, a self-governing body of students. Some activities this year include attendance at Rutgers Convention and sponsorship of Students' Day and a dance. An outstanding achievement this year was the issuing of activity cards to aid the Judiciary Body. We hope in future years Council will continue to grow and, most of all, be a credit to Pleasant- ville High. Advisors GIRLS' ATHLETI Good sportsmanship is the phrase for which the Girls' Athletic Association is noted. The G.A.A., capably directed by Mrs. Titus and Miss Fach, presents an active program for any sports-minded teenage girl. The first season ushers in volleyball with girls from each class participating in after-school games. The school championship was won by the senior girls who played every game without a loss. The next sports are basketball and baseball, which are played in the winter and spring. f 4 P.H.S. + O.C.H.S. 3 Good Sportsmanship You aren't even trying! Hurry!! -lam? does 8 lay-up. Swish!! SSOCIATION Playday is the day when the girls from our high school really have a chance to display their good sportsmanship. This is the day when the girls from P.H.S. and Ocean City High combine to enjoy the various sports mentioned. Prizes are awarded to the winners and refreshments are the rflimaxing part of this fun-packed day. The main event of the year, however, is the G.A.A. banquet which honors the top point winning seniors and their mothers. To each girl in C.A.A., this is the goal toward iwhich she works. G.A.A. Early March 3, five Lincoln Busses. pulled into the high school to pick up 196 excited and happy seniors, for our annual four day trip to Washington. This was the trip we had anticipated since our freshman year. The following four days were filled with sight-seeing tours of historical places and things of importance in our capitol. Friday evening we arrived home, tired, but full of many happy memo- ries of Washington. Some of the things we will never forget are: our chap- erones, the bus drivers, midnight esca- pades, the Casino Royal, and the Heid- elberg. qt? 1 All ,yrrv 57 5 e .ok Tl 'KSDAY A--FIRST DAY ,goo AM A1130 l'.M 5:30 l'.Nl 6:30 l,.lVl 8:30 PM lu-ave from llleasantville High School llest stop at Newcastle, Del. The program was divided into the four seasons: fall, win- ter, spring and summer. Under the capable direction of our Advisors, Mrs. James Mc- Neal and Mr. Paul Williams, the Class Night Committee organized the various acts, plac- ing them into the appropriate seasons. Clare Cleisberg and Roberta Ott as co-chairmen spent many hours working out the details and problems arising from such a large scale production. Each season was opened with an appro- priate combination song and dance directed by Mr. Benjamin Censullo. Mrs. James McNeal and Mr. Paul Wil- liams were presented plaques on behalf of the Senior Class in appreciation for all they had done in the past four years.
