The photographers found them at work and hurriedly took this picture. We have left to right: Robert Stevanus, Bob Hall, Russell Johnson, clerk, Max Miller, treasurer, Otto Henderson, and I. B. Forsyth, Superintendent. Mr. Stevanus, is a farmer who lives north of the city limits and who is very active in social and church work. Mr. Stevanus is well liked among his fellow neighbors and makes a most efficient and suitable board member. Mr. Hall is employed with the Pleasanton Mill and Elevator. He has work- ed with untiring effort to promote a better school program. Mr. Iohnson is employed by Frisco Railroad as a depot agent. He is kept busy by many local activities for which he always finds time to render his services. Mr. Miller has long been a resident of the Pleasanton area. He owns and operates the local Maytag Store. Mr. Miller is the captain of the Local National Guard and makes a most appropriate school board rnernber. Mr. Henderson is a Pharmacist, who owns and operates the local Hender- son Drug Store. Active in social work, Mr. Henderson took an active part in making your school, a better school. And our most essential person of the board, of course, is Mr. Forsyth. ln addition to being a very excellent Superintendent he is always willing to help in extra cirricular activities. It is not that we believe it of superior quality but we do believe that it possesses all of the necessities to render you a very conceivable interpreta- tion of the functions at P. R. H. S. during the past year. The chief purpose of all those who served on the staff this year has been to offer an annual which will be of unaccountable value to every reader. We are quite sure as you look through this annual you will immediately descry our theme. We believe that this edition of your Hilltop, with the occa- sions seasonally presented, will offer you a clearer conception of when each occurence made its appearance during our school year. Each student has his own personal memory of school days at P. R. H. S. For some Seniors this year marks an end oi formal education while for others it marks only a beginning. But whether it be the ending or the beginning, the endeavor oi each graduate shall be to become a success. And now the year has come to an end and you have this book to help you remember the sorrows and the delights which have composed it. May we, as your Editor and Assistant Editor, in behalf ot the entire annual stait, hope that it serves as a masterpiece of eternal memory. Sincerely yours, Harley C. Ambrose ana Bert, two comedians, come to Dead Man's Gulch and are mistaken for Homer The Kid and Gun Smoke Carter, two of the most feared riders in those parts. Ambrose and Bert thought they would have a pretty easy life if they played the parts of the cowboys. They soon found out differently. The Crooked sheriff out-smarts Ambrose, he is beaten and whipped by Hoot Owl Pete, and almost hung by Stinkweed. He doeen't even get the heroine, Nancy, either.
