Spirit P0 -P0 The 84-85 PomePon squad consisted of sixteen performers and one alternate. Tryouts were held in May of 1984 to choose the girls for the following year. As well as performing at halftime shows at the basketball games, they performed at other special events. Last summer, the returners went to camp at Emporia State University and brought back six blue ribbons, four red, and they won the spirit stick for their enthusiasm as well. y l itfl tg , E tt et l 5 tt l teseee The 84-85 Cheerleaders were made up of six girls. This year, the cheerleaders were sponsored by Mrs. Heger. They learned cheers, chants and different styles of mounts, also, they did pyramids that involved high difficulty. They went to camp at Wichita State Uni- versity and won ribbons for their performances. CHEERLEADERS

The 84-85 Pom-Pom girls consisted of sixteen eighth and ninth graders. They had to have head high kicks, good angles, lots of energy and a smile. Since the basketball teams practiced after school in the gym, the pom-pon girls practiced in the old lobby. The only times they would have the gym was when they came at six-thirty in the morning.
