Kayettes is a girls' service organization sponsored by the Kansas Association for Youth. After school doughnut sales, a hayrack ride, and a Christmas candle sale were held during the year. Making cornucopias at Thanksgiving for the elderly in the neighborhood was one of the service projects. The most successful project was a jumprope marathon to raise money for Channel 8, Educational TV. A check for three hundred dollars was presented to the station. v

This staff has been an experimental class this year. Students in the class were responsible for publishing the news paper and putting the yearbook together. Beside all this, regular English assignments had to be met. Everyone worked on both projects. Despite all the extra time and effort, it has been fun. 5 1 al' Too many hands! Day before deadline!
