During the first semester we lost Marilyn Luginbill and Wayne Clouse, We gained Carol Roop from Adams Central. Officers for the year were elected as follows: President ----- -- Patsy Burkhart Vice-President --- - Ronnie Gephart Secretary ----- - Ann Foor Treasurer --------------- Rita Ehrsam Sponsor ----------------- Mr. Jordan Our first class party was held at the State Conservation Park, near Bluffton, Indiana. The winning side of the Magazine Sales Contest gave the losing side a party at Suzanne Kuhn's home. Activities during the year to raise money for our class trip included selling magazine subscriptions, a chili supper, bake sales, class play, and selling ice-cream, pop, and candy at the ball games. We are proud to have Leon Byers, Roger Frey, and Dee Wolfe on the varsity squad and Allen Bowen, Kent VonGunten, and J oe Butler on the second team. Ronnie Gephart and Kenneth Marckel recorded our varsity games. ' We are looking forward to our class trip and becoming Sophisticated Seniors. As sophomores we had 38 members, later losing Jim Weaver. We elected Mr. Lehman as our sponsor and the following officers: President ---------- -- Kenneth Marckel Vice-President ---- -- Allen Bowen Secretary --------- --- Ronnie Gephart Treasurer --------------- Ann Foor We were glad to have Leon Byers and Roger Frey to represent us on the varsity squad and Dee Wolfe, Wayne Clouse, Allen Bowen, Kent VonGunten, and John Ripley on the second team. Ann Foor and Bonnie Gephart were the varsity cheerleaders and Ramona Gottshall, Marilyn Luginbill, and Suzanne Kuhn were second team cheerleaders. We had two skating parties at Sunset. We began our freshman year with 40 members. To get us broken in right the seniors initiated us by having us wear our clothes wrong side out, our hair in a strange fashion, and our faces painted like Indiana. That evening they gave us a wonderful party.
