One of the outstanding activities of the Senior Class was their per- formance on January 28, 1949, of the three act comedy, Gone With The Girls written by Verne Slout. The youthful comedy, which was well re- ceived by an appreciative audience, revealed the everyday happenings in the lives of Mrs. Alecia Capp, her four adolescent children, Grandpa Capp, the old rascal with a mind of his own, Ora, the maid, Lenny Fair, the nurse, and Binny Ware, the actress. Mother Capp announced her approaching marriage to Gregory Thatcher Van Stael, much to the disgust of the children and ended her matrimonial career by bringing home a policeman for a new father. In the midst of all this, the children managed to get themselves into one scrape after another. Those in the cast were Anna Belle Case, Sabina Taylor, Bob Wolfe, Nona Reta Mauller, Ruth Ehrsam, Patricia Gephart, David Ripley, Bryce Miller, Mildred DeRoo, Phyllis Heiman, and Ed McCullough. Other members of the class assisted as stage hands, costumers, prompters, and ushers. Mrs. Andrews directed the production. In their Junior year the class successfully produced the three act comedy, Busy As A Beaver, written by Russell Drake and under the direction of Albert Coppess.
