SOP HOMORE CLASS HISTORY In the year of U48-49 there were Z9 pupils who entered school at Pleasant Mills as Sophomores. We 'chose our class officers as follows: President - Jim Price Vice-President - Dorothy Myers Secretary - Erma Fortney Treasurer - Ben Jones Sponsor - Mrs. Frey A class party was held at Hanna Nuttman Park near Decatur, Indiana, during the first semester. Everyone enjoyed refreshments and games. Four boys, Jim Frey, Marvin Watkins, Bill Workinger, and Jim Price are playing basketball on the first and second teams. Also two of our Sophomores, Annabelle Bebout and Marjory Miller, are serving us as cheer- leaders. A We hope the Seniors of 48-49 have a wonderful future awaiting them. GOOD LUCK SENIORSP' FRESHMAN CLASS HISTORY We started our first year in high school with an enrollment of twenty- four pupils from five different schools. We were full of enthusiasm and interesting ideas about the years we would spend in Pleasant Mills High School. We promptly elected the following class officers: President - Bill Johnson Vice-President - Bob Bowen Secretary - Sally McCullough Treasurer - Richard Young Sponsor - Albert Coppess One of our greatest trials was Freshman initiation. Appearing in class with our clothes wrong side out, on backwards, and with hair done up in a strange fashion, we furnished much amusement for the upperclassmen. Two parties were held, one at the schoolhouse, as guests of the Seniors, and one at Sunset Park. Both were greatly appreciated. We are now looking forward to our second year in high school. Z4
